Surge BOSU 40 - Water Filled, Adjustable Weight

Just added between 15 & 20 lbs of water for my current set of clients. Today was our first day and we did everything from chin rows (holding it vertically by one black handle) to sumo squats, to curtsies, to bicep curls (black handles-awesome!!). We had a lot of fun just messing around and seeing what we could come up with. This thing has so much potential! Someone said you can’t see the water in the clear one...you can but clearly they dyed the water in the BOSU video so it doesn’t show up like that. You can easily see the water level, though. The screws were cranky about going in for the handle installation, so be ready to boss them around. A few threatening words and hard cranks with a Phillips should do it. Great piece of equipment!

Nothing beats a good old fashioned gym with weights. Not worth the 100 some dollars it costs when it looks like it cost 2 bucks to make. Virtually impossible to get the water out once you put it in because of its design. Plug can pop out with heavy use.

I must say I'm happy to get this tool! With the stay at home order in place it has gave me ideas on a home gym! Filled it up half way and ready to work! Thank you!

This is a great new way to work out. With the coming rain, I am actually using the water I collect from that for this tub. One thing I will say about this product is that it is very easy to use and the seal is very tough so you do not have to worry about the water spilling out. Honestly it is pretty air tight but I would still empty it out every so often to clean it out depending on what kind of water you use. If there is any small leaks you could attract mosquito and such. When use this as a work out be sure to follow the instructions that are provides to ensure that you do not injure yourself. It is very easy to remove and fill the weight tube however you want. The weight is pretty easy to balance so you do not feel too heavy on one side and it is more of an evenly distributed weight. You can drop this a few feet up and nothing would happen but just use your best judgement to ensure that you do not break the device. You can do a variety of work outs with this device and they work pretty well. You barely really notice that there is water in the device. Overall this device is great. You have a secured tool that you can easily adjust the weight to using pretty much every day devices. The grip is pretty sturdy as well as the sides so you do not have to worry about this slipping out of your hands.

The Surge Storm 40 is a cutting-edge training device built to improve overall health, fitness, and performance but I am not sure really how to use it. It does not help me a lot and I am not sure why I ordered it. Not a good product to have.

I love that this weight set is fully customizable to your needs without ever having to take plates on and off! This is such an awesome new addition to my home gym! I like many people out there don't really have a lot of room in my home for traditional gym equipment like a bench press, free weights, a stationary bike, etc. So I've been trying to add useful fitness equipment that has multiple functions/exercises, is customizable, and also doesn't take up a lot of space! This adjustable weight tube arrived inside of a bag and 2 outer boxes that protected it along the long journey. It is very sturdy and already has a good amount of weight to it without the water weight! The handlebars are comfortable and easy to grip. It also can replace the need for different weight laying around all over because you can add water to a desired level/weight and increase or decrease it with ease. I use my outdoor hose to fill and dump the excess water into my yard/garden when I want to decrease the weight. If you want to know the exact weight of it at any given time measure your weight on the scale with and without it. Easy! Definitely love and highly recommend you consider it! I love smart gym equipment that I can and will actually use! :)

I was a HUGe Fan of this workout device!! I always like to try new equipment/exercises out there just to keep things fresh and motivating and this one delivered!! You can do so many weight exercises with it all while bettering your balance at the same time, engaging that much needed core. By being able to choose the amount of water one wants to add, this can constantly be modified. I really like it for lunging and doing upper body workout with. It does store fairly easily when propped up vertically and it doesn’t take up too much space. I think this would be a very nice add-on to any home gym!! Another very cool feature is that it is made out of plastic and therefore is absolutely perfect to use outside as well!! The plastic will hold up great against the elements and it’s another way to get some more fresh air into your life! Truly an awesome product, would definitely recommend.

This is a really interesting piece of equipment. It is rigid, heavy plastic, and you can fill it with as much water as you would like. Now, whether or not you want to fill it all the way is entirely up to you, and each has its own challenges (i.e. full or not full). If it's all the way full, it will be heavier. If it's not, the liquid will move about, causing you to REALLY have to engage your core to handle correctly. It's probably not for exercise noobs who are trying to get themselves together after a long time of being sedentary. The fill valve is nice and big BUT there needs to be secondary opening somewhere for when you empty it. As it is now, it will take forever (and be accompanied by large "glug glug" sounds) to empty and will be darn near impossible to dry. Another thing that bothers us is that the black rubber bumpers on the end can slip off. If you are using those to lift/move it, that could be dangerous. The double handles on one side, and the single handle on the other are perfect, and give you options. While this is definitely a (mostly) well-made item, the price does seem a bit steep.
