G.I. Style 5-Button Sweater

I've been looking for a sweater like the one I wore while I was on Submarines, and this looks, fits, and is just as warm and comfortable as the issued sweater I had 20 years ago. Even though this sweater is acrylic instead of wool it's just as warm you don't have to worry about it shrinking like the wool one.

This has become my day-to-day sweater for everything but very formal occasions. It keeps me pretty warm in the unheated garage when I'm working out there in the winter, although I will say you need at least a light jacket over it because the wind kind of goes right through the fabric. It does add considerable insulation under another garment though. But it could also be part of a "business casual" look.My only gripe is that the sleeves tend to stretch out as you wear it throughout the day, so the sleeves start to look like a bathrobe or something.

I didn't expect such a good sweater for the price. I wore it while elk hunting in the mountains of Colorado. I found it was quite comfortable, durable and warm. The high neck really helped keep me warm. This will definitely be my go-to sweater for cold outdoors days when layering is needed. It also washed up nice, no shrinking. I air dried though as a precaution

Nice authentic style and materials but mine was already starting to unravel at every seam when I pulled it out of the plastic! Be prepared to spend at least an hour going over and fixing every seam. The pictures are of the repairs done on the arms. I had to do this wherever a seam ended. Otherwise it’s a nice sweater. Runs a little bit bigger than USGI but I still recommend buying a size larger than normal. There’s no way you could wash this thing in a machine and dry on low as per the label! Rothco, get another supplier!!!

Xlarge is very small. I will give away as a gift. Not GI

This is an absolute must for anyone on a submarine. If you are in the Navy and on a submarine and don't have one, you should be ashamed of yourself.
