Did quite a good job to repair a car seat.
As an artist, I might find this product easy to use. But given my skills, I do believe any regular person would be qualified to apply this product. I've used a similar product as this one in past years for a repair , but it did not come with 2 tubes of black plus the white. My black leatherette car seats have faded over the last 15 years so I really appreciated having a white to adjust the pigmentation as relative to my seats. The previous product used years ago did not hold up very well and it cracked around the edge of the damaged area which had to be removed. So I was left with a giant hole with only the foam showing. I had to insert 2 pieces of the backing fabric and slowly built up the layers of this product until the hole was more level with the remaining seat area. It took days to do this since I allowed each layer to dry thoroughly before applying a new layer. All in all Im pretty satisfied with the outcome and color match and hopefully the multiple layers of this product will outlast the previous product used 2 1/2 yrs ago. I will admit that there was another area will a small hole and slit and this product did a great job of concealing and fixing the damage. I also appeciate the easy clean up of paint from the enclosed supplies and my hands, using only alcohol and a paper towel.

Worked well
Purchased to repair a boot my dog had chewed. Surprised that it worked pretty well. The repair is not invisible, but that may have more to do with my application.

Not great for the seat part of a car seat
This was easy to apply and looked pretty good, but after about 3 weeks my car seat was cracked again. Maybe if it had been on a different location it might not have cracked but I wouldn't recommend this for the part of your car seat where you sit.

Happy with results!
My son has a Guess faux leather jacket that he loves, but unfortunately due to wearing a backpack on one shoulder all the time, it had rubbed down to the cloth. The affected area was rather large and I wasn't sure if this product would work. I went over it twice, with 24 hours in between the applications. I also used black shoe polish after it was dry and then buffed it. When I handed it to him he asked me which side was the damaged one. So to me that was a good indication of success! If you look closely you can still see where the faux leather used to be but at a glance or from a distance there's no way you can tell. I really recommend this product. It was super easy to use and no mess. Thank you!

Waste of money
Better off using leather tape instead

Used on a motorcycle saddle - it worked very well.
I have a 2009 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. I put a lot of stress on the saddle/seat, especially around its stitching. In several places, it started to tear with the largest gap being right where I usually sit, about 1/4". I had some Shoe Goo that I bought on Amazon and while that worked on my sneakers, it didn't hold well on the seat and it also didn't look well. Looking at replacement, heated seats, it's about $1400. So, trying this was worth it. I am about 64" in shoes. When I stop, I let the inertia slide me forward so that my tip toes can reach the ground. Once I start moving, I slide back into the seat in a more comfortable position. That puts a lot of stress on the seat and its stitching. This repair has held up extremely well and today, I even had to use it in the rain. Applying it is with an enclosed paddle, which can be wiped off and re-used. If the separation is greater than 1/4", a piece of under-fabric is included. I didn't need to use that. Because of the width of the separation, I needed to apply it twice, a day apart. It sort-of looks like it's been repaired and with its appearance and durability, I am very pleased. They recommend smoothing it out with rubbing alcohol. I didn't do that. If you have a leather object that you are thinking of replacing because of a tear, you may want to consider using this product first.
