Works good. Had to trim one part of the adapter to mount with no issues. GPU needed the extra pci plug and this works.

I had a slightly old (3 yrs) PC that required an 8-pin PCI-E power connection for the new Asus RX570 GPU I just installed. (I didn't realize this requirement until after installing). This allows you to leverage two unused SATA power connectors off the power supply, which supply the power for the cooling fans on the GPU. The fit works fine - I might want to have the wires a bit longer, so I wouldn't have to rework the way power cables are led through the case; but that is a very minor gripe. Works great and I'm off to the races now.

I got this to power a GTX 1650 from EVGA which has a six pin socket. The extra two pins weren't a problem, but this has a plastic bridge between pins 7 and 8 (clearly visible in the third picture) that prevent it from being plugged into a six pin socket. Giving it three stars--have no idea how it works since I can't use it, but it's not really the product's fault. Would have been nice if the description warns that it won't work with a six pin connector...the pictures, at a glance, look like a 6+2 plug that you find on most power supplies no-a-days.

I'll admit that I was a bit worried about the quality before ordering. After installing my new RTX 4060 into a Dell Optiplex I kept the case open with a fire extinguisher handy for several weeks? No fires yet so 👍👍

I had to finagle some of the wiring to get it to work properly as I didn't have 2 free SATA connectors. I managed to steal one from the CD-ROM and everything is working great. I am actually using this on a graphic card that runs extremely hot. I am also putting the system on the verge of power consumption. Finally I am using the system for long term rendering. A lot of hardware benchmarks use short term rendering to create performance baselines. I was expecting failure after several hours but it has been rendering for over a week now.

Glad to say it powers my son's GPU perfectly well. The GPU is the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 4060 OC Edition.

It fit my rig perfectly after I unplugged my power supply from every component and moved my hard drive up a slot in the case. The cable is smaller than it looks, but in the end it's working as intended.
