Found out my cat had crystals. I had tried science diet vet prescription diet chicken stew. He would eat it,but it would take all day for him to finish his breakfast. Got him the Purina Veterinary prescription diet. He loves the gravy and always finishes his breakfast. I wish they had more flavors with gravy. As for his crystals, I assume they are going away. I plan on getting him checked in a couple months just to double check. He's back to acting normal. Being his sassy self. I plan on getting the Purina Veterinary prescription diet hard food/kibble after the science diet that he has right now runs out. Purina prices are so much better.

Cat loves this food. It is for urinary tract considerations, but he loves it!

All but 4 cans are dented to various degree. 1 can was leaking and unusable. The other can with gravy on it I think was from the leaking can. The heaviest damage mostly on 1 end of case. Very disappointed with condition. But, my cats love salmon; and I have been hunting a salmon flavored UR for ST/OX crystals. Finally they are eating the food and I'm not throwing food away. They prefer pate but if I mash this up they eat it all. Thankful to have found something they are allowed to eat that they like!!

After spending a ridiculous amount of money at the vet our wonderful, yet high maintenance, cat was diagnosed with struvite crystals and given samples of prescription cat food. He refused to eat any of it, even when I mixed it with some of his old cat food or water from a can of tuna to ease the transition. This went on for days and days, even after finishing his medications, and I was exhausted from trying to get him to eat. I finally sucked it up and ordered this Purina ProPlan UR food (also a ridiculous amount of $, hence the 4 stars). Miracle of miracles, he actually likes it! He must like the way it tastes because he even kept eating it after the paper plate I put it on (I got behind on dishwashing) slid around the floor while he ate. It's got chunks of meat in a lot of gravy, so I know it has plenty of the liquid that he needs to help prevent more crystals. Our other cats tried to steal his food as well. I can't give it 5 stars because I feel like I'm being robbed every time I think of what I paid for it and I have to guard it from our other cats while he eats, but it's earned 4 stars for being something my cat actually wants to eat, and it will hopefully keep him out of the vet's office.

My cats were a git fussy and were only eating certain flavors of Fancy Feast when my one cat had a UT blockage and the vet prescribed a special diet. My vet gave me a half dozen cans of various brands and flavors of food for my cats to try ... I was definitely given the "stink eye" when those were offered. The emergency vet had given me the Purina UR dry food and a couple cans of the UR wet food. Once I tried those with my cats, they were a bit more interested so I dug around on the internet and found this flavor on Amazon. They eat this as readily as they ate the Fancy Feast - and more importantly - when the vet rechecked my cat, the blockage issue appears to be resolved ... whew! My vets price is less than a dollar cheaper than Amazon, but Amazon drops it on my doorstep ... it's a winner!

I ran out of the original prescription food we had been buying and this was a bit cheaper, so I thought we'd give it a trial run with my cat that has had issues with stones. He loves the food and haven't seen any indication that he could have stones since he started back on the wet food. A bit expensive but arrived on time.

My cat had a urinary blockage which required two overnights at the vet and $1700.00 in treatment to save his life. - Purina Pro UR Urinary is his life food now and my cat is once again thriving. The moister content is exceptional to keep him hydrated and flowing. My Cat is excited to have his meal every day. Premium price for a premium product - worth every penny!
