Had to come back and leave a review.. I had never used a safety squat barbell before. It is a game changer. I couldn't be more happy with the purchase. Squatting way more, way better form, much more comfortable, more weight, more reps. Bar balances well without holding it so you can also use to rep out calf raises with it. 5 stars.

for a cheap bar, this is pretty dang good. I chose this over the Titan bar cause its off set, keeping the weights behind you. I haven't really tested it to the MAX regarding weight, but I have 3 plates and a quarter on it, and it felt solid and comfortable.If you want the best of the best in safety squat bars, you'll have to pay about $400 bucks. if you want a good price on a good piece of equipment, this is a great option. Shipped quick. Nice piece of equipment. I had wrist surgery, so it is allowing me to continue squatting until my wrist heals and I can go back to a regular bar.

this I one of the best buys and investments I have made in a long time... my friends have come over to workout and love this piece of equipment...I had used this before , so I knew what it was about... great buy.worth every penny!!

It's okay for a novice, but for the same price you could get a bar that holds waaay more weight. kind of a pain to assemble as well.but if you're a bodybuilder and just want to do rep work instead going for that BIG squat, then this should be fine. but if you're serious about strength training; I would look for a different one.

This bar does NOT hold up to even half the weight it is supposedly rated for. It bends and almost breaks with only about 300 - 400 lbs total weight including the bar itself.

Shipping was quick and packed well. Some slight assembly but no big deal. In doing squats I can say my form sucked and it was uncomfortable with straight bar even with a pad. Safety bar is really comfortable and helps my posture stay correct. I am a senior so I most likely will not get above the weight limit this bar has, but if your intention is to lift a lot of weight I would spend the extra money and get one that works with the poundage you will use. Otherwise this was a great purchase for me.
