3 Pcs 5 Wire Ceiling Fan CBB61 Capacitor for New TECH 5+5+5uf 50/60Hz 250VAC

Fan went totally dead and I did not know if the motor or capacitor bit the dust. Since the fan was rarely used over a period of ten years, but still looked very good, I figured I would try a capacitor swap. For the $12 of the price of three capacitors, even if it didn't work it would be worth the effort to give it a shot. Long story short, it worked perfectly and I have two extra capacitors to boot. I will probably never need them again, or be able to find them as time goes by, but a cheap investment versus buying a new fan. Pay attention to the wiring color arrangement an the number of wires comparing the old unit with the one you want to buy. I have a 5 wire capacitor and the only difference with the old and the new was on the new one two colors were not in the same physical position as the old unit. When I swapped them I put the same colors to the same colors of the wires I had cut from the old one.

Definitely works on older fan, needs some electric knowledge to replace them. The top speed is still not ad fast as I wish it can be so taking one star away from the rating. Low and mid speed is good.

Buyer beware! This product arrived and looked obviously used already. Wires all tweaked and frayed. Probably used, worn out ones that someone replaced and then returned. Manufacturer needs to either make these non refundable, or package in a way that people can not switch out the old with new and then return. Cellphone wrap maybe. If opened then non refundable.

Ceiling fan home repair

After installation it lasted only for 4 to 5 days. Our fan doesn't work now. Needs to be refixed. Useless product
