Great Docking Station
I have now owned the Acodot docking station for about a month and have been satisfied with my purchase. I compared several docking stations before making my purchase, and the deciding factor for me was the six USB 3 ports this station offered. This inexpensive docking station has everything I need: Pros • Gigabit Ethernet Rj-45 connection • 6 USB 3.0 ports, four on the back and two on the front • Support for two monitors, 1 HDMI and 1 DVI (a DVI to HDMI converter is included) • Audio & Microphone ports • Plugin play for Windows 10 • Single USB cable to attach to a computer • Solid build quality • Portable • 2-year warranty Cons • No passthrough power to charge a laptop, so you need to plug your power cable into your computer to power it • No support for 4K monitors The cons are not problems for me since my laptop doesn’t use USB-C power delivery, and I don’t have any 4K monitors. The only issue I have had with this docking station was once when I attached my laptop, and it didn’t recognize the proper resolution of my external monitor. I knew something wasn’t right when my monitor came on, and everything was scrunched up into a small screen. This problem has only happened once, and rebooting everything resolved the issue. I love this docking station and no longer have to plug in my external hard drive when I want to use them since they are now attached all the time through the station. This docking station works excellent and has made my life easier.

great purchase
Wanted something cheap and easy and this thing delivered. Have a 6 yr old home desktop w/ dual screens, usb cam, usb printer, ethernet cable for internet, and usb wireless keyboard & mouse receiver. Wanted to be able to dock 4 laptops (1 to 5 yrs old) for the kids & work laptops to take advantage of dual screens, web cam, printer and generally the working desk area. This thing has work flawlessly and was easy to get going. Home desktop was 1st install since it was the only one w/ a DVD player. Installed the driver, pulled the cords off the desktop, got it powered up, hooked up all the cords, and then plugged the single USB to the front of the machine. BOOM worked. Copied the driver to a USB drive, did the same thing for 4 other laptops. BOOM, all worked. Done in like an hour or two. Now when anyone wants to hook up, simply remove the usb from the front of the desktop and plug into any laptop usb port. Seamless & easy. Was really worried about the age and variation of the laptops working. I'm not computer guru and this setup was painless & easy. FYI, all computer are running windows 10. Make sure to install the driver 1st. Had to do an initial display settings adjustment to get size & alignment on displays, but it remembers settings. For the laptops that have touch screens running, we also have the option of mouse or screen navigation now.

Acodot docking station review
Got the Acodot docking station today (21MAY2020). Opened it up and it included everything. Followed the instructions and installed the driver and restarted the computer (Windows 10) BEFORE connecting the docking station to the computer. Once attached; I inserted USB flash drives and portable drives into all 6 ports and connected monitors to the HDMI port and the DVI port using the DVI to HDMI adapter. After that the docking station began to continuously reset and the monitors flickered on and off. I then switched to the DVI to VGA adapter. Now all 6 USB ports and monitors work perfectly together (So far). The DVI to HDMI adapter DOES NOT work. If the DVI to HDMI adapter had worked I would have gave it 5 stars. I still do recommend this product if used in my configuration. Did not test DVI port to DVI monitor connection due to not having that type of cable.

Great docking station
Ordered this docking station based on the reviews. The hook up was easy, used the cd that came with the docking station. Followed the instructions. Note... I was not able to use the docking station to hook up both monitors. 1 monitor when into the docking station via HDMI and the other went into the laptop via HDMI. It worked and I'm super happy . I purchased for a Chromebook but the software was not compatible to the computer.

Save your money, this item is garbage
I bought this dock around 6 weeks ago, give or take. The first one I got seemed to work alright at first, though I noticed the audio channels were reversed. That's not a huge deal, I used an EQ program to swap them and called it a day..until the audio jack just completely stopped working. Then I noticed that the ethernet connection was very slow. I have gigabit internet, if I use the ethernet port on the dock I could get 150mbs max, but if I plug the ethernet cord directly into my laptop I get 975mbs. Again, not a huge deal I can just plug the ethernet in directly if I need more speed than the dock would give me. Now, we start to get into some of the more pressing issues. The first one was that the dock reports itself to Windows as a "DisplayLink adapter" rather than just passing though your video, not a big deal if you're just using Word or something. But, if you want to do anything else it doesn't work so great. It pretty much keeps any features that require your GPU from working correctly. My laptop has an RTX 2060 and it just wouldn't work as it should because Windows thought I had some generic adapter and it set the refresh rate of my monitor to 30hz(I have a 120hz monitor) and disabled the nVidia control center app. That was a huge deal breaker, so I had to plug the HDMI directly into the laptop. Still, the dock has a ton of USB ports, so if nothing else it can work as a great USB hub, right? Wrong! The USB ports just stop working randomly and won't work correctly again until you power cycle the dock and reboot your PC. So far absolutely nothing on the dock functions as you'd expect so I thought maybe I just got a defective unit and set up an exchange with Amazon to get a replacement. Well, I got the replacement less than a week ago and already every issue I had with the first one is present. The audio is reversed and the jack completely stopped working(again), the graphics passthrough still doesn't work correctly, the ethernet still seems to be a 100mbs adapter despite it claiming to be gigabit, and the USB ports still randomly just stop working. This thing is absolute garbage, save yourself a headache and don't buy this.

The MOST supportive customer service that I've ever seen!
It's difficult for me to write a full report of my relationship with this company. I'll try to go step by step. The unit came in an excellent package and arrived without a scratch very quickly. Installation is easy and hassle-free. The unit is solidly built and has six (6) USB 3.0 ports, which is the main reason why I liked this unit (why accept two USB 2.0 ports and four USB 3.0 as most units have now when I can have 6 of the superior USB 3.0?) Four (4) ports are in the back and two (2) are in the front. The two audio ports (microphone and standard audio jack) are in the front. It also has an Ethernet port and two (2) video ports: one HDMI and one DVI (which, with the included adapters, can double as a second HDMI or VGA ports; the two adapters ARE included so you don't have to buy them). The power adapter is autovolt (110/220 V), so I can use this unit anywhere in the world where I am (since I travel quite a bit, this feature is important to me). I can use it standing up (saving some desk space) or laying down (as a laptop support). The unit is a bit on the heavy side, but that comes out of having a solid build. I really prefer my electronics to be built this sturdy way: looks like we are going to have a long relationship with this unit. I confronted some problems with my wireless Logitech mouse. It turned out that my mouse and the unit are not compatible. When I contacted the company's customer service they were quick to answer and polite to a fault. Even if they couldn't solve the problem of my mouse (I am currently working with my mouse connected directly to my computer) they went out of the way to give me a solution that is acceptable to me. I WILL MOST CERTAINLY BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN, TIME AFTER TIME! Few companies have ever given me the level of customer service that I've received from this one! I can only say that they have increased my confidence in using this media to make my purchases. Thank you

Docking Station Fails while watching videos
UPDATE - Seller reached out to me so that we can troubleshoot the docking station. However, we came to a point where the issue was constantly happening so they ended up sending a replacement unit. So far everything works fine. I am very satisfied with the customer service. I've had this docking station for a few months now and it is happening more and more now, at least once a week where the docking station fails and my screens turn different colors. This is really frustrating because I work from home and it takes a solid 20 minutes to disconnect and restart everything and make it work. I am not someone to ever review or comment on products, but this is ridiculous. If I could return this now I would.

Everything just works!
Plugged everything in a dot all worked flawlessly! Amazing product! Update: I was using one hdmi and the DVI to VGA adapter and everything has been working perfect. Then I bought a new monitor and tried the DVI to HDMI adapter and it was really distorted! I contacted support on Friday night around 10:00pm, and they got back to me instantly! They told me to buy a new DVI to HDMI adapter and they would reimburse me for it. I happened to have an extra one in a different setup so I tried it out and it worked! Not only is this a GREAT product, but support is AWESOME! One guy said he had the same issue so he sent it back, HIS LOSS! One more thing. My latop only has USB-C for charging and data, not video. That's why I bought this USB-3.0 hub, but now I needed to plug in the HUB usb and the charging USB-C cable. Two cables every time I dock and undock. To solve this, I bought a J5create USB type C to USB-3.0 (JCA379) from staples for $44.00. I plug my charger USB-C into the J5, plug this HUB's USB-3.0 cable into the J5, and plug the J5 into my laptop. Now, with ONE USB-C cable to plug and unplug, my laptop charges while using this HUB.
