Beautiful, Lightweight, and Perfect for On-the-Go Writing
The Pentel Kerry mechanical pencil is the perfect size to carry in my travel bag when I’m on the go. It’s lightweight but feels super durable, it’s made with great materials and a solid, quality feel. The 0.5mm lead writes dark and smoothly, and I love the color options. I have both the pink and blue, and they’re just as beautiful in person. This has quickly become one of my favorite mechanical pencils.

Very pleased.
Sleek. Lovely. The cap is cleverly designed; when placed on the bottom of the pencil, it allows you to lengthen your lead without having to remove it. That means I won’t have to lay the cap down someplace and possibly lose it. The knurled band isn’t hard on my arthritic finger. I bought it primarily for my Bible study to take notes in my Bible and notebook, so I won’t be using it extensively.

My favorite mechanical pencil
Personal favorite mechanical pencil. 0.5 lead seems tight but makes notes and anotation vlear and readable when done. Plus i get to go styling with different colors. 😎

bought again right away when I lost the last one.
I was devastated after a loss my first one and then I had to get a replacement right away. Very good quality of build, excellent click, satisfying knurled grip that isn't pokey or sharp or rough. Pretty good damn pencil if I personally do say so myself.

Very sleek and well engineered mechanical pencil
This pencil is very well engineered. You should know what to expect from a pricey, well-made mechanical pencil, so I will mainly go over features exclusive to this pencil. This pencil is quite comfortable to hold when posted, though when uncapped, it’s a bit small. I have seen others complain on the external plastic layer covering the mostly metal pencil, though I find that it provides a bit of friction that prevents this pencil from being slippery to hold, especially compared to the polished metal parts on other parts of this pencil. When they designed the pencil to be able to “clicked” even with the cap posted, they made sure to spring load the cap’s finial such that when capped or separated from the pencil, the finial in the cap doesn’t rattle at all. In addition, the eraser is located in the cap, so when posted, you can remove the end finial to easily access it. But, when not in use, ostensibly when the pencil isn't posted and is instead capped, removing the end finial of the pencil reveals the lead chamber, such that when in use, the end of the pencil serves as an eraser, and provides refill access when not in use. I was most worried about the middle grid section before buying this pencil, but the pattern is not sloppy at all, and is engraved very precisely and smoothly. It seems scratch resistant when I run my nails across it, though I don’t plan on putting this pencil through any durability tests. I’ve heard that this pencil can last quite a long time, but only time will tell as to the hardiness my specific model. There’s a few design features that at first may seem like blemishes, but I’ve grown to overlook and accept them. The metal rings where the cap meets the pencil is crimped, ostensibly to help the cap stay capped/posted, though at first glance, it looked a bit weird. The plastic on the pencil body isn’t uniform either; you may find darker or brighter streaks that are probably more distinct on lighter color models. I mainly have 2 complaints: Where the metal meets the plastic grip, there was a loose bit of plastic that I scraped off with a pair of scissors. It’s a little strange that such a blemish managed to pass post production checks given how precisely manufactured the rest of the pencil is. The cap also clips onto the pen a little too tightly, which makes using this pencil as a daily carry on that you can pull out and use whenever a little awkward. This is a pencil, not a fountain pen with liquid ink, so there’s really no reason for there to be such a tight seal between the cap and the rest of the pencil.

Quality, feeling
Love the pencil, its ergonomic and its got a quality feel and look to it. Paired with Pentel Ain Stein lead, it glides over paper and feels like a pen.

Great for pocket carry.
This thing is beautiful and functional. It has a cap to protect the point, but it has two buttons, so it will advance the lead with cap on or cap off. You can carry it in your pocket or pen sleeves (like in a laptop bag) and it will not poke holes in the material. Nice grip on the body. If you have size Large or bigger hands, you'll probably up on the textured chrome part of the body. Nice grip, even if your fingers are down on the painted part of the body. The eraser is under the cap button. Place the cap on the pencil as if you are going to write. The button will then extend a bit and will be slightly easier to grasp. There is no texture on the button and it is a little slippery.

Does not come in original packaging
I have ordered this pencil several times, and this is the first time I’ve ever received it. It has been cancelled due to delivery delays and another time it never left the supplier. The pencil is lightweight and feels cheap. It came with a single piece of lead that was broken so when I advanced the lead it either went back in when pressed on paper or fell out. Has some cosmetic issues and color inconsistencies. The grip feels fine. There is no eraser, if I’m not mistaken it does say that in the description. Overall not pleased with the purchase, I bought it as a gift but since it wasn’t in original packaging I tried it out for a review. Not a good value for the money.
