Generation 2 Alkaline Water Ionizer Machine 7 Plates Dual Filtration

I have owned and used this unit for over three years now. The unit does a fair job of filtering noticeable water impurities that color or produce off tastes. It does so in a way that wastes a very large quantity of water that according to the manufacturer is a result of the unit splitting the water to produce both akali and acid waste water which is also filtered. After three years and approximately 3 filter changes, I can without a doubt say that the filters do not have the capacity stated. My stage 1 filter states that it has over 1000 more liters it can filter but does not actually work anymore. It drips very slowly, maybe 6 cups in 35 - 40min. This has been the case with both filters throughout the 3 years I have used the unit. Also, since the akali water is produce electrically, it does not have the same healthy properties of traditional akali water that is obtained by dissolved minerals. By lacking these minerals the water is simply fooling the body and not actually including the akali dissolved minerals which are known to produce a reaction to bodily function which has been studied. This is not that and I do not believe there is any concrete science behind the stated claims of the sales agents. It does however filter water well with a massive amount (equal) of waste water which I try to use for plants and cleaning.
