Installation Nightmare & different than pictured
The good: it looks nice once you have it installed and for installation, the sockets are wired together already. Some similar units require you to wire them together yourself. It's a lot easier to screw two wires together than five. The bad: the finish/material appearance is VERY different from the picture. It's truly a brushed nickel, rather than the shiny chrome that it seems to be in the picture. If you're hoping for a shiny/polished look, that's not what you'll get.It also does not come with any mounting hardware. I don't really have much of an issue with that, as long as it provides sufficient pre-punched holes in the back-plate for me to mount it using my own hardware. And, that's the problem. The ugly: the pre-punched holes in the center don't fit a standard "universal" mount. On top of that, the hole for the wires isn't in the center of the unit -- it's near the upper edge. So, even if the pre-punched holes did fit a universal mount, you couldn't use it (the wire hole would conflict with the mount). It needs to be mounted lower than centered to permit the wires to run through to the junction box. This leaves the upper edge of the box exposed. If you are mounting this horizontally above a vanity, the exposed gap likely won't be visible to anyone less than 7'2", but it's still annoying.I wasn't expecting much for $24 -- the material is exceptionally cheap and flimsy. I was, however, not expecting outright stupidity in the mounting design itself. After all, getting that part right doesn't increase production costs one bit.--BTW, I'd highly recommend getting some toggle bolts to secure this to your wall. Unless you're lucky enough to have studs in exactly the right spot, you'll have two choices for installation: toggle bolts or punching new holes in the backplate of this unit to match the mounts available via the junction box (the pre-punched holes are in the wrong spots).

Exactly what I wanted, odd packaging
The light fixture was oddly packaged by the company. No styrofoam to keep the pieces from sliding around. I thought the face had slide marks on it like it slid back and forth in the retailers box, but it had a piece of thin plastic on it that was a pain to get off. Not like u see on a tv but plastic w/ strong adhesive that I had to use force to peel off. It looked like it was put on it before they cut and bent the metal, bc the plastic covered the metal completely. I wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for a slight curl on the back edge. The adhesive left some residue that i was able to rub off easily with my finger. In the companies defense, it does state in the manual to "Remove the protective film from the canopy...". Canopy, face plate, whatever, same thing. The manual basically states hook black wires to the houses black wires, white to white, and green to green, but more elaborate.

Very Nice Looking Brushed Nickel Finish For Good Price
This is about the best looking (brushed nickel) metal finished budget light fixture for a bathroom or any room. I use these type light fixtures for a small apartment complex and this one has a very "classy" look. I use GE Lighting Soft White 24660 40-Watt, 340-Lumen G25 Light Bulb with Medium Base, 6-Pack light bulbs which make the bathroom very bright without glare.I also use the 6 light light fixtures (see my similar review at Thomas Lighting Sl7418-78 Six-Light Bath Fixture, Brushed Nickel ) for some apartments and I really like the nice appearance for a budget light fixture.

Good value lights
Works fine and is easy to install, however, right when I took it out of the box I could feel that it was cheaply made. The metals was thin, the sockets weren't perfectly straight, and a couple of them were a little loose. Ultimately, after it's installed you don't notice these things.

No more crappy brass fixtures for us!
We had one of those old school brass fixtures (that are sadly still available) in our bathrooms. We were going to replace them with a more stylish fixture but alas, whoever built our building didn't put the box in the center of the wall. So another bar fixture was required. This is a low profile, sleek and slim fixture. We put some edison style LED lights in them and it really looks great. You can't beat the price, too!

Very nice, basic light strip
I got these to replace a similar brass 4-light strip. I'm not an electrician by any means, but I found the instructions easy to follow, and the installation to be very easy. I wanted bushed nickel, not chrome, and that's exactly what I got. The light strip looks nice, and you really can't beat the price.

an inexpensive update for bathroom
I bought these to replace the brass fixtures that were in our rental property. Replacement was simple and I updated the bathroom look for very little cash.
