I started CGM just two months back after I bid adieu to my chemically straightened hair. I was overwhelmed initially watching all the CG tutorials on YouTube, so I reached out to a few local curly bloggers on Instagram who helped me a lot. Almost all of them recommended me this product. Since it was highly recommended I had to get my hands on it. And Oh Boy! I love it. It’s a One & Done product for me (I think I have 2c-3a curls). I applied a generous amount to my hair using the raking method and then SOTC after fully air drying my hair. This magic potion made my unruly hair so soft, bouncy and shiny, and no frizz. I didn’t even need a gel after applying this. It gives my curls great definition too. On day 2, 3 and 4, I just refreshed my hair with plain water and detangled. By day 4, my scalp felt a lil greasy and on day 5 I decided to take a hair wash. A gap of 5 days in between washes (with refreshes using only water) is totally amazeballs. And it’s pretty affordable as compared to other similar products out there in the market. The scent is okay, it doesn’t linger for long.

I have been using this product for sometime now and in between I did try other products but this is the best product so FAR. It really holds the curls and also gives my hair a very good and refreshing look !

It does work, however I feel like its only intended for fully curly hair, and not so much for wavy/slighly curly hair. For me personally, it didnt work too well, and made my hair feel weirdly greasy (after applying on fully wet hair). Maybe just not for me!

I came across this while searching for any Indian brand which made products for curly hair. So after seeing this in the Amazon search results, I thought I would give it a go. There are a lot of mixed reviews regarding the product but I feel this extreme reactions could be a result of not understanding how to use the product properly. It is not something which is to be slathered on your hair. As it is a thick cream like product, a little goes a long way. I bought this product in Nov 2020 and am still using it (it expires in Aug 2022 so should be able to finish till then haha). Secondly, it needs water to emulsify it, if you apply it to dry hair or without massaging it properly in your hands, it will not help you and will result in the possible issues people have with the porduct. The back of the bottle says to apply to very wet hair, not even damp hair. Please note that hair care for curly hair is VERY DIFFERENT to that of straight hair or even wavy hair for that matter. So you cannot just put it a load of product on your hands and then on your hair. There are a lot of pages online & videos on Youtube which give full tutorials to style curly hair and even for Indian curly hair.Regarding the scent, I have read people having quite some issue with it but it does not bother me much. It may/maybe not bother you as it depends from person to person but can be mindful of this while purchasing if you are sensitive to strong scents.Personal suggestion: Please have a spray bottle filled with water with you if the hair feels like drying while styling and a styling bush (brush stying videos on YouTube with help you understand the process better)

Worst product ever, I am regretting it now, a lot of hair falls my hair start damaging and got really rough than before and its not even curl my hair that much. Not the worth of money not even worth it to buy. Never buy this even I am going to throw this away because my hair going to damage a lot.Hate it

It is one and done product for curly hairI use it directly after shampoo on wet hair.It is great product but sometimes I feel need to add some leave in conditioner before this.Just little amount is required for shoulder length hair.I sometimes use it to style my day3-5 hair.On wash day i apply leave in conditioner and gel and on day 3-5 I simply refresh my curls with this.

Hey, so this is an overall nice product for people with curly hair. It really does help define your curls for a day or two , depending on how you wear your hair and how often you are using the product. It’s a little bit on the expensive side which is why using it too often would not be recommended but that’s a personal choice I believe. That’s one of the things I wish was a bit better i.e. the price. Another thing I think would be great to see is if the product was marketed towards “people” with curly hair, and not just women. I don’t think any curly hair-only products market themselves to both men and women and, being a man, it’s a bit disappointing to see as I really do enjoy using the product. Maybe the team can give this a thought. Peace!
