Sturdy, lightweight, aluminum micro table
Been slowly putting together a tailgating/camping kit, and one area of concern was that there's never enough surface area to work with. My camping grill takes up space, food prep, a place to put my drink. I inevitably put my food plate down on the parking lot or camp ground floor. So, out I went to look at a few different table options. I got this on from GSI as well as the larger aluminum table from them. I use the larger one to elevate my grill off the floor and like having an aluminum table vs any plastic table to handle my heat source. I use this micro table more for inbetween my camp chairs, to hold plates, my beer, etc. These things are pretty slick. They come with a nice carry case. You unfold them accordion style and have to slide these two rods into the holes in the slats. This can be a bit tricky, while the shock cord holds the slats together, the holes move around enough so that it's not a "unroll and go" type install. Takes a little time and patience. The legs fold out and can be extended with another foldout piece. This is a low, small table, so, don't think you put your chair up against it and eat off of it. But, it's like having a nice little nightstand by your chair. You reach down, pick up your plate or your drink...and it works great. Aluminum is lightweight and strong. The hardest thing is keeping the kids off it, as, at the height it's at, they want to climb or sit on it. Packs up small. It's a great little table that works well in concert with other portable tables I wouldn't consider it "the one stop solution" for a family or tailgate scenario. But, solo, or two people, it's definitely a bonus area to keep food off the floor.

cute
When I backpack on my own I'm a minimalist. With two young boys and my wife I am a pack mule. I got this little table to help with the problem of cooking meals on the dragonfly stove I bring on family outings and having a small place to prepare the stuff we are going to cook. It has surpassed my expectations. With the pots that we have to have the table has provided a stable place to place the stove and it makes it easier for me to prepare a meal. I was really surprised how easily and small it packs and how light it is. Great product for my needs with the family. Very high quality construction and has been very durable. Ken

Very Cool!!!
This table is so cool, It is smaller than you would think, Even after reviewing the listed size I was still surprised at it's compactness. It is light enough for backpacking and convenient enough for car camping. GSI makes a quality product and you can't go wrong with anything they produce. Packaged up it is smaller than a one person tent when packed. I plan to use it for cooking with my backpacking stove rather than placing the stove on the ground. It is a nice addition to your gear especially if you are comfort driven like me. If are an Ultralighter or Minimalist, It may be more than you are willing to carry. Very light though. I love it!!

Awesome Table, could use better locking mechanism.
I bought this after watching Japanese camping videos and seeing the small tables for camping that they use. I honestly wanted one of a different brand but they don't sell it in the USA. I have two complaints for this table. One is the way that it locks together. Two the way that it folds back up. The poles that you push into the table to lock it in place is a really poor design. Dirt sand water anything can get into those holes and then the table doesn't lock well. It is also annoying in that it is time consuming and difficult to do in colder weather. The other problem is the way that it folds up. Well basically it does not fold flat at all. Because there are extensions on the legs, when you fold those up, there is no way to fold them flat onto the table itself. If they had left the extensions out it would fold flat and be lighter. The Japanese models of this had both of these problems corrected its a shame they don't sell them here. As for the table it is small. But that's why I wanted it. To take on backpacking trips with groups to keep some food off the ground. It is also nice for car/tent camping when a table right outside ones tent is needed. I've cooked on this inside my vestibule right outside the tent when it was raining. Absolutely perfect for that! If you are looking for a bigger table get something else. However if you are like me and want to stay organized and clean while cooking while only adding a pound to your pack, buy this table.

Not accurate weight, but love it anyway!
I love this little table! It folds up nice, and is great for setting up my cook stove when backpacking. I am willing to add the extra weight to my pack for the comfort it adds in camp, however it weighs a bit more than the description indicates. 26 ozs actual versus 14 ozs listed in the description. That’s almost twice as heavy! Still, well built, high quality, like all the other GSI gear I have and use regularly. Gear in photos is a GSI Halulite kettle and GSI Infinity mug for size comparison. Edit: Turns out the weight and folded dimensions listed for this product are actually for the GSI Ultralight table.

Compact, Light, Multi-use Table I Would Buy Again
This is a handy little table and super lightweight. I've used it 5 times already and it's been a month. I used it at the beach, outdoor festivals, camping, a tray for working sitting up in bed. It is a great gear addition especially if you're nuts about lightweight, non-bulky equipment that serves at many settings. It's about a pound maybe pound and a half and you can set hot things on it and it won't burn. It's aluminum but feels secure and strong. I also like that there are two heights you may adjust it to. Simple and safe design. A couple criticisms (small) is that I wish the table folded into a perfect rectangle, and not in a loose triangle and you drop in the bag to contain it (but I'm a little crazy about perfect shapes). I also kind of wish the bag was zippered and not drawstring. Drawstring frays and doesn't last long. Zippers are mostly easy to replace after many years. I would still buy another one of these b/c the usefulness exceeds my nitpicks.

Love my little metal table. Nothing will melt, I can use it to keep my twig stoves off the ground, side table when chilling, prep table etc.
