TedGem 2.4G Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Set - Excellent Value
I bought this TedGem 2.4G Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Set 5 months ago as circumstances occurred which meant I needed to be some distance away from my pc and have been using it daily ever since. Always having previously used wired and being unsure if wireless 'would do' I needed to make sure wireless would work so chose to buy a 'value product'. I'm astounded by this set for the cost. The keyboard is almost an exact replica in size, positioning and working responsiveness etc., as my Acer laptop keyboard, so the transition from laptop to the TedGem Wireless Keyboard was seamless and my typing remains quiet and fast! I was also somewhat amazed by the quality of the product, not in the least bit plasticcy and no weakness or bending, it looks smart and, in my opinion, of a much higher quality than its cost would imply. The mouse is really a little bit too compact for me to be using everyday forever, but for five months I have been using it daily for emails and gaming. I agree with some other reviewers that the mouse isn't perfect, there can be a delay in responsiveness and there are sometimes miss clicks and the signal appears to drop out and sometimes then it catches up with itself with too many clicks in the wrong place :D I quickly became used to its automatic sleep function and adjusted so have not really found that to be a continuing problem. However, unlike the keyboard's build quality I do think that the mouse does look plasticcy and not as good quality in looks as the keyboardI find I need to be careful that the keyboard remains close to the mouse else the signal is lost on the keyboard. I'm a little bit more than a casual gamer and I've managed much, much better with this set than I could possibly have imagined but the mouse is most definitely not for the gamer who requires fast, reliable responsiveness from a basic mouse.I'm using the keyboard and mouse at its maximum advertised distance of 10m and on a different floor to where my PC is. For this reason I give the set 5 stars rather than the 4 I would have given because of the occasional short comings and looks of the mouse.Edit 4 months on ... With the wonders of software, I now no longer need to use this keyboard and mouse at such a large distance from "it's base". I find it is difficult to remember that they are wireless and not attached to my equipment because of the responsiveness and reliability. The auto sleep function really isn't a factor at all now, maybe I'm just really used to it, but it is not causing any problems at all with extra clicks as it wakes up and there are no catch up clicks as there had been when I needed to use the keyboard and mouse at the maximum distance before. I'm using them with Linux and Windows 10 and have not needed to replace the batteries in the keyboard since purchase and still use both items daily. With the change in circumstance, and thereby the removal of the 'dropping out' of signal hence my update, I continue to be amazed by this product especially for its price.

Smart, comfortable and compact
I decided that I couldn't deal with a bulky keyboard anymore and ordered this set in the the hope that it'd be easier to type, and wow - the difference is wonderful.I only really have pros for this:I love the feeling of the keys. Not too shallow, but have a satisfying 'click' to them whilst typing. I have a Macbook Pro and this is the perfect step between a normal keyboard and the 'butterfly' keys on the Macbook. It's the best of both worlds. Really nice to type on.The media controls are great. Volume control and play/skip buttons are, to me at least, essential. Really useful feature as always. There are also music player, homepage, email and explorer (really handy!) hotkeys. The size is great. There are some reviews that say the backspace should be bigger but I'd argue that it's an easy adjustment to make. The benefit of the smaller keys is having an overall much smaller keyboard, which was exactly what I was looking for. I also love still having a numpad whilst still maintaining the compact size - take a look at my comparison photo of my original Microsoft keyboard to see the size difference!I already have a wireless mouse that I don't need to replace but the wireless mouse in this set is really nice. It has much more sensitivity than my existing mouse (which was struggling to register movement on my desk and mousepad), and the clicks appear to be almost-silent. The scroll-wheel also feels satisfying and accurate. If you need a mouse, too, this seems like a good deal - especially because you won't need multiple wireless receivers.Overall this is a great keyboard and I'm really satisfied with it, especially at this pricepoint. If you're like me andyou want to reduce your finger strain when typing on a bigger keyboard, this is a perfect solution.

First Impressions good
These are my first impressions when using the wireless keyboard and mouse combination. The keyboard feels very much like a laptop keyboard and has a great feel. Keys bounce nicely and give the right amount of feedback but without the noise associated with so many full size keyboards. The cursor keys are compact which is not surprising on a unit of this size, but when you are used to their position are perfectly usable.. The numerical keyboard is also nicely laid out.Typing is reasonably precise and there aren’t many accidental double presses or missing letters that you can sometimes get with wireless devices. Latency on the mouse is perfectly acceptable if you plug it directly into the computer itself. However, don’t expect the latency to be any good if you plug the dongle into a USB 2 or 3 port within a USB docking station. I have a Wavlink Universal docking station and it’s simply unusable plugged into it, pointing to a compatibility issue perhaps. The mouse is quite small for bigger hands and the mouse wheel isn’t as precise as I would like it (you have to scroll it many times for it to register that you intend to move up or down the page). The mouse moves smoothly on a quality surface and the pointer seems pretty accurate. Sometimes, mouse button presses can lag momentarily but this may be due to battery as I’m not 100% sure the battery I put into the unit was new.Obviously no comment on battery life longevity yet!4* from me.
