Uncle Mike's Quick Detach Moss 500 Bolt Set Sling Swivels (Blued, 1-Inch), Black

I would like to begin with the seller, Global Sportsman. The initial delivery was quick, however it was an incorrect item (sent for a Mossberg 590 which is just one part number off). I reported the error over the holidays and it went unsolved until January. The seller had a computer failure, so no blame to them. Once they had the information they needed, the return was very quick and painless. They sent the correct item and a return label for the incorrect item. Overall, some speed bumps, but very excellent. The item is well made as well. The fit is great, although the barrel lug for the swivel that threads into the magazine tube is the wrong thread. No problem, since the standard barrel lug is already threaded for the swivel post. Pretty easy install. The front post just threads into the stock barrel lug, and some drill work on the stock (be sure to use brad point wood drills to prevent bit wander!) and the sling studs were all set.

I forgot all about this sling kit. I purchased it over two years ago. It has performed as advertised with no issues. Installation was a simple swap of the detent bolt on the barrel and drilling a pilot hole in the rear stock for the swivel stud to screw into. My package also showed up sealed with no signs of rust. It may also be worth mentioning, this kit is advertised for the Mossberg 500 series shotgun. I installed it on a old Westernfield 550 series shotgun from the early 1970's. These were store branded shotguns made by Mossberg for I believe Montgomery Wards. Most if not all parts were interchangeable.

Quality product. Fairly simple to install. A little intimidating drilling a hole in your stock.

I'd initially bought a swivel stud set from Outdoor Connection. I liked the design of it better, but unfortunately the bevel left on the stud at the top near the knob made it bind inside the lug on my 18.5 HD barrel. What that stud has that this Uncle Mike's stud does not is that the QD eyelet on it was free swiveling, it was on a pinned bolt thru the middle of the main bolt that allowed it to spin freely within the setup. This one, the eyelet is screwed into the center, so it is possible that you would be able to unscrew it from the middle of the bolt....but you'd have to let it unscrew quite a ways to have that happen. The other thing that I liked about the Outdoor Connection on vs this Uncle Mike's is that as other had mentioned. The Uncle Mike's is made in China, whereas the other was Made in the USA. That being said, this one installed in minutes, came with everything needed to make it work, and seems to hold up just fine. I'd recommend it for anyone looking to put a sling on their Mossberg.

Worked great on my mossberg 500 410 they have held up nicely and now I can add a sling nice product would recommend!

The function seems ok, however the product appeared to have been stored in a wet or corrosive location by the amount of rust evident. Spent probably 30 to 45 using CLP and brass brushes to clean it up, and to free up the detent ball. So, it does function, however, plan to spend time before installing.

Bought this through a different vendor about a month ago. Was then $32 with free shipping. Prices have now changed quite a bit and no free shipping (still available on Aliexpress for same price). Shipped from Kansas but made in China. Fits my new Maverick 88 12G perfectly. Took about 30 mins for complete install. There is a small flattened section on the synthetic butt stock for sling mount that makes screw placement easy. Mag end cap very well machined and installs just as easy as original. 1" swivels a tiny bit wobbly but still satisfactory. Retaining ring removal tool very handy. $32 CAN seemed kind of expensive for this but local stores had it for $50+ and I can see it will last forever.

I bought it for the sling swivel stud on my magazine tube, I ended up just unscrewing the swivel stud and installing it on my mossberg tube rather than swapping out the whole thing, comes with 2 sling swivels so thats kind of a bonus. Great value for the cost.

This allowed me to add a sling to my Maverick 88. Didn't need all the pieces but the pieces I used did the trick

These seem well made. Installation is a little trick but not too bad. Made it through my 1st trip without incident.

Great price and very easy to instal. this purchase made so much sense.
