Salome Wooden Side Table with Drawer, Distressed Paint

I spent almost a year looking for the perfect side table for my reading nook and this was exactly what I wanted. Well-made, solid, and just cute. It came fully assembled and all I have to do was put it in place and enjoy.

I ordered two of these tables for my bedroom and they look great, perfect addition to my boho chic room. They were supposed to arrive within 10-12 days but one arrived in 3 days and the next one arrived 2 days later - a big plus. The first one was in perfect condition and packed very very well. Second one was also packed very well, but the bottom of the drawer was loose. The panel slides back and forth like someone forgot to glue it - so things can fall through the bottom of the drawer. I could hear the panel knocking back and forth before I opened the package, might have shaken loose in transit, not sure. And the “anti-tip” hardware was already attached to the back, unlike my first perfect table. I didn’t want the hardware attached as it’s unnecessary for me and unsightly. There is very little paint on mine, not much of the distressed look, but still a very nice funky look. I would say it’s a good value for the money, fast delivery, lots of care taken in the packing, solid piece of furniture. I contacted the company about the one defective table and will update. Update: The seller sent me a replacement table and that one was more damaged than the first one. On the replacement, the top was broken - a long crack along the front edge, and the long piece broke off when I wiggled it. This table wasn’t packed as amazingly as the first two, so that might have been the problem. I contacted GDF, and they issued me a full refund for both tables the next day, no hassle at all. This is a good company and I would do business with them again.

The side table with drawers came 3 days sooner than expected. Very WELL-packaged...my usual FedEx deliveryman couldn't mar or break, though he tried...sturdy styrofoam on all corners, wrapped in styrofoam sheets and bubble wrap, heavy cardboard squared each end. ..no shifting in the box. The table itself is so much better than I expected. Sturdy 1"x2" real wood on all sides, even the back. Recycled wood, but I wouldn't say the wood is distressed...no gouges or pot marks...which I really like. The distressing is in the paint; mine came with blue and cream...just enough to make it pretty, interesting, and not excessively. The drawer (top) has a wooden knob in the back (like the one for the cupboard below) that you can move it to release the drawer or not. That's attention to detail in my book. And it has a light varnish which I couldn't see on the photo on Amazon's page...another detail I really like. I just love it for its looks, sturdiness, craftmanship. It will last ages.

I do not "do" reviews, too lazy I guess.... This is an exception for me. This side table/cabinet is so absolutely perfect in every way. Loving the rustic look to accent a room of modern furniture, this one caught my eye. Perfectly packed, arrived quickly, no assembly unless you attach brackets to wall to hold in place in case of small children might tip..... it is used as nightstand next to a clean-lined modern bed.....don't know how to attach photo......photos in other reviews say it all. It's perfect!

The table is very pretty. Very disappointed. It arrived totally broken. Beyond just a small issue that I would normally accept. Then had to buy a box to return it.

Ordered 2 of these tables... both are very nice. Packaging was OUTSTANDING. I've never seen anything shipped to me with nicer packaging. I know these came from Pakistan or India, but in the past I've found the packaging to be cheap... not these. Also, no assembly required as they were completely assembled at the factory. I'm very pleased with this purchase and they look great in our guest bedroom.

I bought two. It was a gamble. But I’m very happy. One is more colorful than the other. They are sturdy. Completely assembled. Packaged well. One has a warped top, but it adds to the character imo. They blend well with an old rustic armoire I have that is difficult to match. They add color and vibrance to a traditional rustic living room. Really happy with purchase.
