ColumbiaGirls 7-16 Bugaboo Interchange Jacket

I bought this winter coat for my daughter. I thought it was a little expensive for something she'd only wear for one winter, but she really liked it. Once it came, I realized my mistake. I wasn't paying for one winter coat; I was paying for a medium-weight rain jacket, a medium-weight fleece jacket, and a nice winter coat all in one. The outside shell is extremely durable, and the size is adjustable as your child grows. It's marked 6/6x, but my daughter is now a size 8 and it still fits fine. We haven't even let out the sleeves yet. Now I won't have to buy a lightweight coat for next fall, and I can just buy another Columbia once winter hits. Sure, you can buy a cheap coat at Walmart, but you'll spend more money in the long run because you'll have to buy multiple jackets/coats as they wear out and get outgrown. One warning: it does run a little large, so unless you live in Siberia and need to put your kid in a sweater and three shirts under the coat, opt for the smallest size your kid is likely to fit in. Columbia has a pretty accurate size chart if you want to measure your child's chest, arms, etc.

We got this coat for my daughter after looking at nearly every other coat that exists, it seemed! She's picky like you wouldn't believe :) she wanted a coat that was a 3in1 because she gets hot a lot and wanted the flexibility that it offered. She wanted a coat that wasn't really puffy...it had to have a fairly slim silhouette. She wanted it to be blue..but not just any blue! She was picky about the material, the pockets, the hood, etc! Anyway, this coat fit all of her requirements and mine (durable, warm, not ridiculously expensive). Overall, it's been a great value so far that I hope to make last at least another year...Until she outgrows it :) the only downside is that it gets dirty and the light color shows the dirt a ton. but then again, it is a light colored coat on a seven year old, so what can we expect? Very happy with the purchase!

I ordered this jacket prior to the winter season but it was on sale for a decent price. My daughter is very small and I ordered the 6x which still fits her perfectly. I really love the bugaboo insert that she can use for the fall. The fit is big enough that she will be able to use it for this winter and the next. We got this coat in the "Light Grape" color. I would describe it as a lot more blue than purple. In fact, iIt looks indigo to me, but I don't really care. My daughter loves the color of it. Columbia ski coats are always very high quality, and this coat does not disappoint on that front. All in all, a great ski coat that my almost 9 year old will be able to wear for at least a couple of seasons.

Received this jacket exactly as advertised. New and in great condition. This jacket fits more slim around the midriff than other ski jackets so I was able to order a size up for all of my kids - and get an extra year or two of use out of it. Great 3 in 1 - a layered inner fleece that zips into a lightly lined outer waterproof shell - and it's a Columbia!

This jacket is well made and better looking in person. I bought this for my daughter's ice skating class and mainly use the inner green fleece jacket during her classes. She says that it keeps her nice and warm without feeling too bulky. The jacket came in as advertise and the inner green jacket's color looks very vibrant. The construction is nicely done without any loose threads. I would recommend this to others.

My picky daughter couldn't find a coat that she liked, so she wasn't wearing one. She always complained about it being too fat or puffy. This jacket has made her really happy. She can wear just the fleece, if she wants, but both together are great for the colder, windy days we've been having. Love the color, she is "over" pink!

I bought this for my daughter to be able to play out in the snow and cold.It's very thick and warm, but can also be worn as a windbreaker without the liner.The price is quite high, but my experience with Columbia products is that they will last well and can be handed down to younger siblings, so you get years of use.
