They work very well.
My neighbor picked up an old guitar for his grandson and asked me to "fix" it up a bit. It really didn't need as much fixing as it needed some cleaning. So, I thought I would make it look as nice as possible. I ordered these fretboard markers, to cover the dot inlay. After cleaning the guitar and neck very well I applied these. Amazing how well they peeled away from the paper to the fretboard, with very little elbow grease. The quality and ease of application made this project so easy it was fun. The inlays were brilliant in color and looked as if they had been placed there all along. And not only cover over the original dot inlay, but after applying there was no discernable sign there was anything underneath. The last thing I did, which I debated quite a while, was to wipe some (water based) Minwax clear semi-gloss over the inlays. I did this using a surgical glove and just applying a small amount to my fingertip to cover over the inlay. Then once all was dry, apply Lemon oil to the entire fretboard. My neighbor picked the guitar up a couple days later, and a day after, I received a call from his grandson thanking me for his beautiful guitar.

Looks way nicer than dot inlays
Take strings off easy to install. Just press with your fingers once you get it lined up perfectly. Looks great on the guitar. Nice cheap cosmetic upgrade. They feel as if they can come off easy. Looks beautiful!

These stickers worked as advertised
I purchased these to dress up my Alveraz guitar the has very minimalist fretboard markings and to provide a visual aid. Was playing a song that required fingering from the 5th up to the 14th fret and was finding it easier to hit the correct higher fret locations on my other guitars that have additional and larger fretboard marking. So I decided to add these stickers as a visual aid, and to give the guitar more style. The stickers were easy to add if you take time. I wanted them alighted perfectly so I did have to reposition several of them with 2 or 3 attempts. They look fine and are staying in place so far.

Like the real thing
These are amazing. I was apprehensive at first, but gave it a try. I own a guitar with no inlays. At times hard to land back on the 12th fret if you know my meaning. I only needed to use three stickers, 5th, 12th and 19th fret to get back my bearings and not spoil the slick look of the instrument. I placed the stickers low enough on the frets so that when I bend strings, they don’t rub against them. They’re beautiful, they look like the real thing, and they’re hanging in there. Only qualm is shipping. The bubble envelop had been folded in two, I was afraid some of the stickers had been damaged. Shipping should really insert some cardboard prevent that from happening.

meh
these are ok. mine are on acoustics. I barely had enough in each package to use as some simply didn't have enough stick to grab anything. I used a fret gauge to get under the strings w/ o removing them and many wouldn't even stick to the gauge. But I do understand you don't want them to be to sticky or they will leave residue on the fretboard. Id suggest only using these on cheap guitars unless you are just a couch player

My simple and cheap guitar looks great now!
Not very hard to install, just to get them exactly in the center is a bit tricky, but after one or two I got the hang of it and my guitar looks super. Earlier I also found a Hummingbird type pick guard on Amazon, which ads another $1,000 to the value of my $120 guitar. See picture.

Looks great on my plain dotted frets.. iI had fret oil, so the edges peeled off. I ended up removing all.. i would definitely give it another try.
