Wish I could have had this review prior to trying to convert my grill! Success story, finally.
I bought this kit and, after a bit of extra work, finally have it converted and back up and running well. A couple of things to keep in mind. First, you may have to go to Home Depot to buy a connector that converts the diameter of the LNG pipe coming out of your house (1/2") to the diameter of the connector/hose (3/8"). Also, know that the BTU of LNG is quite a bit lower than propane, so in addition to swapping the hose and replacing the bezels, you'll absolutely need to change the orifices as well. I installed this kit and tried for about a month to cook with it, without replacing the orifices, and couldn't get it above 200 degrees (it used to get above 600 quickly with propane). After a lot of calling around, even to Charbroil, I learned that they don't sell orifices, and only include them in these kits. I called my LNG provider who checked the BTU of the gas coming to my home, the water level (7"), and my elevation (7,000) and for my grill (12,100 x 3 burners) told me I would need a number 53 orifice. Since Charbroil doesn't make that size, I went to a Barbecue and Fireplace store and paid $10/orifice to have them drilled to the proper size (with, he told me, a special drill set that costs $300, and told me funny stories about people who used regular drill bits and had massive flames afterwards). I just installed them and now am able to get up to 600 degrees in about 15-20 minutes. So, I would recommend a) calling your gas provider and asking them to calculate the orifice size needed for your specific grill BTU-per-burner and b) removing your orifices, calling a BBQ shop, and having them drill to the appropriate size and reinstall. Hope this helps.

Great way to further utilize your grill and keeps costs down - cook with natural gas if you can!
I purchased the natural gas conversion kit (Item model number: 4584609 which sells for $43 on Amazon) It literally took me 2 minutes to convert this grill to natural gas. When I had this house plumbed for natural gas, I had a natural gas hook-up installed next to my patio. What a relief to be able to cook (sometimes for hours if slow cooking ribs or baked potatoes) and not worry about propane use or costs. My gas bill for the entire month (June, 2014) was less then $16 which didn't even seem to increase from before I owned this grill. I think I was being charged the minimum monthly charge from the gas company and this grill (even though I was using it 3 to 4 times a week) still didn't put me over the minimum charges. It was like cooking for free whereas propane certainly would not have been free. In Ohio, my gas bill only goes up in the winter when I am actually using natural gas to heat my home. I also have a gas water heater and gas oven so I recommend natural gas to anyone who has a hook-up.The tool provided fits over the head of the old propane gas orifices which you unscrew with just a few turns. The reverse process installs the new orifices. Natural gas is so much cheaper and more convenient to use if you have a natural gas hook-up and you do not have to worry about the dreaded "running out of gas" problem.

Pretty good kit with a useless manual, some people may have to buy more parts from the hardware store
Was fairly easy to install but the instruction manual is useless. It is one gigantic piece of paper with way too much stuff crammed in, most of it vague or not applicable. Luckily it wasn't hard to figure out how to install it, even for a novice like me. Precisely because I am a novice, I went with this kit even after reading the reviews that said save money and DIY. After installing it I see what they mean, if you know what you are doing all you have to do is drill bigger holes in the orifices and buy a few things. The dials in the kit seem to be different only in appearance, and any 3/8 inch gas hose should work.My outdoor natural gas hookup was actually 1/2 inch so it had to be reduced to 3/8 before I could connect the hose, luckily I found a shut off valve that also reduced it, two birds with one stone. Seems to be a pretty common occurrence for the natural gas line to be 1/2 inch, so definitely check before installing. This kit doesn't necessarily have everything you need to complete the job.

BBQ Gas Conversion Kit
Should have done this years ago......The convenience of opening the main valve and then turning on the gas valves on the grill and pressing the ignite button without having to worry about tanks.... is priceless. The kit includes the NG orifices to change the gas flow to the amount and pressure needed to compensate for NG vs LPG, the knob escutcheons have little stops on them so you are not able to close the valve so much that flame goes out but the gas still runs (if the grills flame based safety mechanism fails). the quick disconnects are cool, you can shut off the main disconnect that was installed to the gas line on the side of the house...(you did do that, didn't you?) which allows you to turn off the gas, quick disconnect, roll the grill out of the way for cleaning the patio area where it was sitting. you can get an extra hose section and a close nipple to extend the hose if the grill is farther away from the gas pipe and that pesky shut off valve.

Easy to install but it would take 30 - 45 minutes
Finally got around converting my conventional grill to natural gas, and I'm so happy I did, no more running out of propane in the middle of my cookouts. It was very easy to install, instructions are not to clear but there is plenty on information online to find a guidance to do it.. It took a about an hour to do so, maybe in a brand new grill it would take about 30 minutes but since this is a used grill since I was taking everything apart I did a little bit of cleaning up on my grill. Overall this was a very useful change to my grill.

Easy to use functional kit.
It might have been cheaper to piece out a new hose and brass adapter, but not by too much I think. Plus this kit came with Char-Broil replacement plates for the control knobs and specific instructions for Char-Broul grills. I had no trouble installing the conversion. It was not hard to follow the step by step instructions and all worked well. I used this kit in my last house and after six years of use it still looked and worked like new. I already had a on/off valve in my gas line and strongly recommend such a valve to control gas flow from the gas line to the grill. All in all, in my opinion a good accessory at a tolerable price.

Didn’t fit the barbecue I bought it for. Seemed flimsy and unreliable. I sent it back.
