Update 11/3/21: I just replaced my filters for the third time. This water filtration system is simply the best, in my opinion. Our water tastes great, is clear, clean and is great for the environment. We use thermal water bottles for take along, eliminating throw away plastic bottles. This system is a terrific value, and they have found a loyal customer. Original review: I bought this filter to replace all of the other filters I have tried over the years. Filters hanging on my faucet, or huge filter pitchers in my fridge or on my counter, replacement filters taking up space in my pantry. The cost of all that stuff really angered me. I started my search for an alternative. I found it with Water Chef. Under the counter installation that was so easy. Did it myself. The filter works for 1000 gallons. Our last two filters cartridges lasted for 14 months. This is our third. We are saving so much money and the water tastes great. No more worries about clean drinking water.

We've had a WaterChef tap and filter system for three years now and are very happy. Our municipal water isn't the greatest tasting (lots of chlorine etc) and this solves it. We love not having to change the filter more than once per year (household of 2). In fact, the sensor on the faucet has green, yellow and red lights to indicate when to change the filter. It's never changed from green to yellow, but we go ahead and change the filter every 12-13 months anyways. When we changed the filter most recently, the water didn't seem as good as in the past. I called them and they suggested giving the filter a bit more of a turn inside the canister to make sure the water wasn't bypassing the filter. That did the trick -- to boot though, they sent another filter at no charge just in case the filter was the problem. Our overall happiness with the system and the customer service make this an easy rating to give.

The water taste/quality coming from this water filter is excellent. Used an Amway water filter for a few years, which also provided excellent tasting water. But prefer this Water Chef water filter because the filter container is made of heavy duty stainless steel instead of plastic. The faucet is also made of metal and much easier to operate.

I've been using this filter for 8 years. Change it annually. Simple to replace, but follow the instructions and make sure you have towels since the water drains out of the tubes after they've been disconnected from the filter housing.

When we moved in to this house the water was harsh, Our water is now as good as or better than any bottled water after installing the WaterChef filter. We have had a WaterChef filter for 10 years now and couldn't be happier with the results.
