This item is excellent. The power button on my Gear S3 Classic started failing after I changed the battery. (I had changed the battery on my Frontier and not had this issue, so even though I was careful I may have put too much stress on the flex cable when I worked on the Classic). I lived with it for awhile because pressing both buttons and letting go of the back button generally worked, but eventually that started failing too. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I ordered this flex cable. It is an exact match and has little tabs covering adhesive, which is very helpful. First, I pulled the old flex cable off the board (came off quite easily). Then, using a magnifier, I removed the part of the adhesive cover nearest the 4 terminals, lined it up where the old flex cable was, and gently adhered it to the board. The adhesive holds it in place nicely for soldering. I ran a tiny bit of solder across each of the 4 terminals and looked at each one under a magnifier to make sure they had good contact. Finally I put the board and plastic battery surround back together (this makes sense once you have the watch disassembled), removed the adhesive cover behind the buttons, and gently pressed the flex cable and buttons into the channel and onto the posts. I put everything back together and it works perfectly. Soldering that small is fairly tricky, I'll admit - I gave myself about a 50% chance of being able to do it, but I'm very pleased with this part.

I was a bit hesitant to undertake this project since it involved very fine soldering. However, it was much easier than I anticipated. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, and that includes watching how to videos.

Can't really say if I should blame the product or myself for this. I am a beginner at soldering, but I feel like I did the installation correctly. Either way, it did not work.

Bought to replace my failed power button flex cable and the replacement after soldering on my watch was stuck in a boot loop. Found that the Apps button works when pressed but the power button is stuck and does not press so now need to wait for another replacement.

Was very easy to install but you have to solder in this part.

I did not realize when I ordered this item that desoldering the old one and soldering the new one in place was required. Some reviews indicated sometimes this item is defective out of box, so I ordered two to be safe. The work is a little tedious due to the smallness but I had success with the first one I tried. It is nice having my watch work well again and I have a spare for next time.

Cable worked great. This is not an easy task and may require a scope to see the small lines that need soldered to the motherboard of the watch. After replacing the cable, I was able to test both switches using test points on the motherboard of the watch. If you are able to see and work on very small solder points, this cable is not too hard to install.
