I hadn't purchased any of these popper in years. When I was still working, my nephew gave me one as a way to relieve frustration. When I was getting ready to retire, I purchased about 16 of them to give to coworkers in my department and to another with which I closely worked. They were all different critters. The balls are soft foam but not squishy at all. When you fire one, there is not enough air pressure to cause any discomfort should it hit a live target. I also don't think it can knock a knick-knack off a shelf and cause breakage. It's the perfect toy to relieve frustration and for play. Entertaining for a little one who can squeeze hard enough to release a ball and a source of pleasant devilry for the inner child of an adult. They are obviously more expensive than what I paid for them almost 13 years ago, but not exorbitantly so. I bought 2 of them, the penguin and the axolotl for my son and his wife for the purpose of playing with their fur babies. The balls are too small for play with dogs, but are perfect for cats.

Used these as a motivator in speech therapy sessions. They are a huge hit - kids of every age LOVE them. They work well and have held up to a lot of use so far.

This is the cutest toy and the balls pop well from the penguin's nose/beak. Requires 2 hands for kids in therapy sessions and they are willing to play with this for many pops, so lots of opportunity for hand strengthening and eye-hand coordination. Just make sure they do not aim the penguin's nose/beak at anyone's face as it can have a powerful pop in strong hands and the ball may strike someone.

Wow, such enjoyment for my grandsons, age 3 and 5! Very inexpensive and they work as advertised!

I love this toy! This is the second one I have bought. I’m a speech. Therapist and I use a lot of toys in my daily use. I love this dog toy and the unicorn version of this. It’s so much fun to work on teaching new words and easy for repetition. The colors are bright the toy holds up really well. I’ve had the unicorn version for three years and I still love it. The balls are small, so be sure to not to lose them. Lol. The only negative I could give is that when the ball is pushed all the way in sometimes it’s hard for your children to squeeze the toy to pop it out. But it’s a really great toy overall!

My dog loves playing with it. The balls shoot far and come out fast. It's not meant for playing with dogs I don't think but she likes it. I already had to purchase more balls though. But they're cheap so it's ok.

I purchases 2 of these for my son and his girlfriend to use. They are both 17, almost 18.. They are worth their weight in gold! The amount of laughter that is going on while they are running around the house blasting these at each other is so much fun! Total hit with my (older) kids... We did play with them with our 4 year old nephew, and he had almost as much fun with them as the older ones did.. Totally worth every penny! Great quality toy! I will be back for more, come birthdays in the summer

My 4 year old loves this. The balls are light and unlikely to do any damage to property (or Dad!) and it's easy to use. It's got a decent range when I use it to get her back :) It feels good quality. It doesn't stand up very well on its tail, but this is a very minor gripe. The only other thing I would improve is some way of storing the balls when not in use.
