I saw this survival kit for my 3 yr old Grandson for a birthday present. When he opened it up he was so excited to see what each item did. This kit was perfect for his age and probably kids up to 8 would enjoy it. The flash light uses no batteries you just push the side in every now and then to keep it working. It's also bright. The binoculars even worked, showed things 4 times closer. This kit has so many more items included that are great for him to find bugs, butterflies, and I think he will love catching lighting bugs and check them out with so many fun items that are included in it.

We bought this for our 4 year old toddler and our 11 year old can’t wait to use it too. We’ll be using it for a camping trip for our little explorer. Flashlight and compass works great. May not last too long but fun for kids. I’m happy with it and especially my children.

This kit is not as large as the pictures or price would suggest. The content is not top quality but there’s a lot of items included. The net is small and came with holes by the handle. It could be bigger and better quality.

The kids loved this! Girls ages 8 and 5, spent hours outside looking for bugs..definatley worth the money!

I ordered this for a 4-year-old and I'm glad I inspected it before giving it to him! The handle broke off the (flimsy) net as soon as I picked it up, there is a glue smear on the lens of the large collector box rendering it nearly unusable, and for the two small collector boxes, one won't stay closed and one is hard to get open! The binoculars, compass, large magnifying glass, and flashlight seemed good, but I don't think this set is worth it.

We bought his for one of our grandsons as a gift for Halloween. He can't have candy so we bought this for him instead. He loves it! All those outdoor things and a bag to keep it all in. The flashlight is really liked by his mom because it doesn't require batteries. His stepdad is going to teach him how to use the compass.
