Not for long term use, Must Have for Glove Compartments, etc
They are exactly what they say - Emergency Ponchos. They're not meant to be used for the long-term, though if you're careful, dry it well and fold it up then you can certainly get more than one use out of it, like I have! Definitely keep a few in your glove box or car door holder, etc. Sure, slap a few in the trunk too - but only if you don't mind getting wet before getting to the ponchos... A Must Have for Outings, Hikes, Vacays (each individually wrapped poncho easily slips into a back pocket, purse, bag, etc). The package makes it look bright yellow, but really it's yellow-TINTED clear plastic, so when wearing it, it's only yellow enough to clearly indicate that 'No, you're not jaundiced looking, it's just the poncho'. Haha, seriously, though, it's fairly clear and shouldn't ruin your fashion sense when striding casually from the Mall to your car, watching everyone else make silly faces and postures, trying to 'avoid' the raindrops as they run, jealous of your confident, non-Olympic pace. It keeps you happily dry with enough room to hold your purchases, which can be tucked safely away from the rain underneath the roomy poncho.

They Work
I got these to through in my bags....hiking and backpacking. Cheap in price. Do what they need to do. Light in weight. Can't beat it.UPDATE: These are terrific and are actually pretty dang tough! I was saved by one of these (my gear as well) during my latest trip backpacking. The weather said no chance of rain for days and the second day of hiking was a complete washout. Flooding actually. I opened the zip lock bag, unfolded the poncho and pulled it over my body and my bag. Tied a small knot in it to keep it from blowing in the wind. I can't say enough about these. Mine aren't yellow in color. More pink. I have only used one of these and I plan on reusing it. When I returned from my trip I let it sit in the sun for a few hours to dry out and I refolded it and it's ready to go.By the way, it doesn't breathe very well but what do you expect?

Portable ponchos are great for travel, theme parks, or just a rainy day you did not expect
I bought this set of emergency plastic ponchos to take to Universal Studios. I strongly advise everyone traveling to a theme park to do the same! Especially in Florida, you never know when it will rain. These ponchos are folded up into a small rectangle that will fit into a pocket or a purse, or even one of the small pockets on a backpack. I ended up using one when we went on the large water rides. Everyone else was drenched, and I calmly took off my poncho and was bone dry :) These are not the thicker plastic, so you may wish to toss them after using. I was able to let mine dry in the hotel room and use it again. However, they are thin, and you need to be careful not to rip them. The sleeves came down pretty far on my short arms, but will be much shorter on a larger person. I am 5 ft 3 inches. These are a great size for kids. All in all, this was a very wise purchase and I would recommend that everyone have a few....just in case of any emergencie. I keep my spares in my car's glove compartment.

Disposable Ponchos Perfect for Packing In Backpack/Bag/Purse
They arrived super fast! (ordered on Friday arrived on Monday) Exactly as I expected for the product. There are 4 individually wrapped ponchos(like I wanted). They are the super thin ones you can get at Target but these were cheaper at the time. I was not able to locate any at the dollar store or at Walmart. So this worked out perfectly for me. I needed a couple for my toddler and stroller. Extremely satisfied with the purchase and the super fast arrival. If you aren't looking for the super thin ones these aren't for you (the thicker ones usually cost about $6-8 a piece at Walmart). But if you were looking for a disposable version that takes up little to no space in a bag/purse then these are it! With care they can be used multiple times but they're also cheap enough that you can feel good about disposing of them after one use. Also these can be used to protect bags, photography bags & equipment, wear them on water rides to keep dry, etc.

Huh? Not as Pictured
Honestly, I haven't used the raincoats yet because I ordered them to have for a upcoming Disney vacation. However, I was compelled to write a review after receiving these because they are not at all as pictured. I read reviews of the pictured item and the reviews were good and basically said that the ponchos served their purpose. I can only hope that these ponchos are as reliable and will not rip at the first touch of anything. I wanted to warn others that they may want to double check before ordering to find out if they will get what is pictured or something similar.

Cost, Repackage, Quality, Compactness.
I purchased this item for vacation with my family in Orlando (If it rains the same or similar item cost $10.00 at Orlando's parks). So the cost alone is worth 5 stars. My son opened and used one on a rainy morning to get to school after which he rolled, crunched and was able to put it back into the pouch this calls for another 5 stars. I believed this item would be much thinner and flimsy but it was not so much so, with it's intended use as a basic rain protection wear I cannot see why this should not last for an entire rainy season making it worthy of another 5 stars. It goes without saying that the compactness of these rainwear earns it 5 stars.

Good for covering a salad in the rain
It gets two stars because it kept out the rain while it was still together. It felt like I had wrapped myself in Saran wrap and after walking for about five minutes the side split open. I can see how these would be good as an "emergency" poncho in the sense that they are poorly constructed and should not be depended upon to perform under repeated use. I ended up buying the Disney ponchos anyway, which are not a bad value considering they held up very well through eight days of use.
