PartyBox 100 - High Power Portable Wireless Bluetooth Party Speaker

TLDR: I bought both this PartyBox 100 and the Sony GTK-XB72 at the same time because I couldn’t decide. The Sony is already boxed and back to UPS. The difference is night and day. The JBL wins hands down, just trust me on this one. Backstory: I worked at a shop and my buddy has the XB72 and I LOVED that thing. It filled the shop. I borrowed it for a party, I live on an acre, it had no problem filling my backyard. The speaker is loud and I was bound to have it. I saw it pop on sale (along with this PartyBox) and I ordered it. Total impulse buy. I got it, I loved it. I also had read about the PartyBox and after numerous reviews and comparisons... I wanted to know what I was missing. I decided to order it as well and decide first hand which I liked better. The JBL is clearer and cleaner sound, just as all of the reviews say. To my surprise, it also bested the XB72 in bass!! The light feature is more aesthetic as well. Granted, the XB72 has “more inputs”, an FM radio, partychain, bigger speakers... but it doesnt matter. If I need FM... I wont. Partychain... I dont plan on buying ten of these. I dont have ten friends with Sony’s. We dont partychain. The speaker size... bigger isnt always better. On to the JBL. This was on sale for only $50 more and boy was it worth it, As I’ve said, I love it. I plan on buying a second for the TWS (true wireless stereo) feature for parties and #GRIDLIFE! The sound, it is clearer, cleaner, higher, lower, deeper. The light feature is way cooler. It is marginally smaller overall. It is slightly lighter weight. Get this.... it has a battery. Sold. The speaker is better, period. Take my word for it. Take everyone’s word for it. I hope to someday have the extra coin to get the PartyBox 310 as well. Water resistant, wheels, telescoping handle, big boy version.

It didn't disappoint me when it comes to sound quality. The vocals are clear and top notch as well as with the bass sound with little to no distorsion at max volume. Plus there are 2 levels of bass boost to amplify base sound. Best purchase for me this 2020 so far.

Excelente bocina, se ve fina, en cuanto a potencia y sonido la mejor y me refiero a bose y a las demás JBL, aiwa etc., etc., la calidad e intensidad de los bajos medios y agudos rebasa cualquier expectativa para una bocina portátil y recargable, se carga de 0 a carga total en 2 y media hora, sonido impresionante,BTH se conecta super rápido y muy estable, toca usb y me agrado la ecualización del sonido de la misma, tiene 3 niveles de bajos ajustable al gusto y tipo de música que se escucha. No distorcionan o no se escucha a todo volumen, entrada para guitarra y/o micro, esta bocina ya es otro nivel, las Bose parecen de Juguete comparadas con esta, solo un detalle, pesa más de 5 kgrs pero nada que impida transportarla a donde quiera uno, la duración de la batería a volumen medio que ya es mucho es de alrededor de 12 hrs o más, no me imagino como sonarán dos conectadas TWS, ahora para el día del padre pienso pedir la otra, vale cada peso q pagas y en oferta (4996$) la mejor compra, estoy encantado con mi bocina.

Still can't believe how good the bass is from such small woofers! JBL sure has the tuned port/bass reflex system well sorted out, the low end is better than it should be on something this small. I won a JBL Partybox on the go 2 years ago and liked it a lot, use by the campfire, out in the garage, etc., and decided to get another unit to leave in the garage full time. Was originally going to get another Partybox on the go, then started looking at the Partybox 100 and 110. Partybox 100 and 110 have similar specs, only real difference I could see is different lights and the 110 is water resistant where the 100 is not. Since I plan to keep this unit indoors, the extra ~$150 was not worth it to me. So I got the 100 and am very pleased. In comparison to the Partybox on the go, the 100 has these differences: -battery life is much longer -2 bass boost options instead of 1 -max volume is louder (160W vs 100W) Of interest: I love bass and thought I would like the extra (second) Bass Boost setting...turns out I don't. The first step is perfect, the second step not only adds bass but makes the mid and treble sound unnatural and for me is not useful. With the Bass Boost on first step, the 100 basically sounds identical to the Partybox on the go with its bass boost setting, except the 100 can go louder and still provide great sound. The unit is made in Malaysia, and appears well made. For a portable unit it is awesome.
