Non-Stick Frying Pan With Egg Poacher Insert

I am disappointed !! The first time we used it the center of both sides burned and peeled !! The finish is definitely not heat resistant. 👎

Better than nothing ... I ought this thing about four months ago and I've used it numerous times and I find that the so-called nonstick easy to clean surfaces not at all easy to clean. It does a fair job poaching 4 eggs, but I always end up finishing 1 to 2 of the 4 eggs in the microwave. They don't all cook or a couple get overcooked. In short: * non-stick it ain't * FOR ALL YOUR FRYING NEEDS: it's poaches, it does not fry * PERFECT: not even close to perfect, & cleaning is a PITA! * EASY TO CLEAN: out it in your dishwasher and it will be harder to clean bc it gets baked on. * RECOMMENDATION: I won't buy this brand again. And I tried all the prep stuff and hokey pokey about oil and cleaning. It's a pain to clean and I used to have a better cooker. My search continues - this is trash.

I love poached eggs but am thoroughly daunted by the traditional 'swirl' technique in a pot a simmering water, so I stick with the gadgets to get the job done. I bought one of these (nearly identical) awhile back (not sure where) and recently bought this one to make 6 at a time instead of 3. The non-stick texture seems a bit different in this one, more slippery. Maybe the 'non-stick' has worn off on the old one? Not sure, but in the old one the eggs stick like the dickens (even with spray and whatnot) and I'm about to throw it out. With my 'technique', I've found this one works pretty well. Start with a wide shallow pot, fill with just enough water not to overtop the poacher once you place it in. Careful not to overfill- you can always add more once you have the poacher in and you do NOT want too much water as you will just have egg whites everywhere. Add some vinegar to the water (helps keep the whites together) and start the heat. While you are waiting, spray the poacher liberally with oil and carefully crack your eggs into the poacher. A fork can be used to gently lift the poacher into the now slightly simmering water- the tines fit well into the little slots on the top. Should not be floating. I like to add just a tiny bit more water so just a TAD is sitting amongst the egg white(s). Cover with lid. I don't time my eggs, I just check maniacally until the egg whites are starting to set up. Everyone likes their eggs differently, so to each their own. I like my yolks gelatinous, but slightly runny. Pick the poacher up out of the water with your fork and give them a gentle shake- the egg whites should be firming up. Set the poacher down on a plate and then go attend to your toast or whatever for minute or so. I then use a small silicon spatula to separate the egg from the poacher and gently guide towards the plate and awaiting buttered toast. Guests cheer and crowd applause.

It scratches really easy and eggs seem to stick on it, but I guess it’ll do. It’s not great. I’ve used it a few times as all. I don’t know that I’ll use it very much.

Purchased this for my disabled elderly father. It is just him and he has problems getting around and lifting to heavy of items. This item works well for him, it is not to heavy for him to move around and he is able to cook and clean it with ease. He can cook his eggs in a timely manner and enjoy them the way he wants with out having to leave his house. The pan heats up well and cooks everything evenly. So glad I was able to find this pan for him.

Absolutely perfect eggs every time! Quick to use, easy and delicious. Makes breakfast a pleasure!

The outer coating wore off immediately! Didn’t work as I expected!

Perfect. Very difficult to get a poaching pan for induction hob. This solved the problem.

These poachers are great. Nothing sticks to them, so easy clean up. Quite happy with them.
