All the layers move over each other very easily
I recently got back into cubing a bit just on a whim, and was playing with my old cube when I realized just how bad it was, so I ordered this cube. It was pretty cheap, which made me think that the quality may not be there, but since I'm not sure how long this interest will last, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on what might be better quality cubes. But for what I was looking for, this cube is fantastic! The layers all slide over each other very easily and are very forgiving if you don't line them up exactly. Due to the angled corners of each cubelet, a misalignment almost gets automatically corrected for you. In addition, the internal construction of each layer seems to have some give, so even if you hold a layer slightly out of place while turning an opposing layer, the entire cube will kind of "stretch" to allow you to complete the move. Overall this makes the cube much faster than the one I'd been using. And since it's all just solid pieces of plastic (no stickers) I suspect it will hold up quite well over time, assuming that the layer rotation doesn't degrade. For the price, this is a really good cube, in my layman's opinion. If I was a "professional" speed cuber I might go for a more expensive one, but this one completely met and needs and expectations.

Great product at a great price!
My 12 yr old decided he wanted a rubiks cube to solve ASAP. He'd been watching YouTube videos and luckily Amazon offered this one for a quick overnight delivery. By the end of the delivery day, he had solved it. Impressive. I'm a kid of the 80s, so anyone who can solve it is in another level. And btw, this rubiks cube is heads and shoulders above the original one-- easy to maneuver. I'd highly recommend.

Quick but Clunky
A fine cube for beginners. Definitely an upgrade from the traditional Rubik’s cube when learning to speed solve. The cube feels a little clunky, but still a great purchase for the price.

Great Beginner Speed Cube
I recently got into speed cubing, and this cube has been a great choice for beginners like me! It offers a really smooth experience without having to drop a ton of money on a high-end cube. While it’s definitely not the fastest or smoothest cube on the market, it performs really well for its price. The turning is easy and fluid, which makes learning new algorithms much more enjoyable. I’ve had a lot of fun practicing with it, and it’s been a great tool for improving my skills. If you’re just starting out with speed cubing and don’t want to spend a fortune, this is an excellent option. For anyone new to the hobby, I highly recommend it—it’s a great way to get into cubing without breaking the bank!

Great cubes at a low price
I bought a few of these a couple years ago and they've worked great. Fast, smooth cubes at a low price. I've been getting back into speedcubing and just bought a few more. Still great cubes.

A Cube for Starters and Improvers
Before I owned this product, my fastest times were in the 45-50 second range. I had been devoid of solving cubes for about 3 months and came back recently with this puzzle. Within the first week the puzzle arrived (which was in great condition and an aesthetically pleasing box), my times were already decreasing further and further. I started reaching 40 seconds, 38 seconds, and then beating my previous record of 36 seconds. I kept solving and learning new maneuvers and recently got my best solve to date: 0:31:101 (sub-30 hype!). In terms of rotation speed and efficiency, it does great. The faces turn and are very easy to do finger tricks with, even without a special cubing lube. The puzzle can be a bit loud at times, so it's not a great puzzle to fidget with in a quieter place. The colors are your standard configuration: white opposite yellow, green opposite blue, red opposite orange. The orange color was quite similar to red and thusly made it a bit difficult to discern in darker areas. The green and blue were also similar but not as much so as the orange. Each side is also very fluorescent and can have a full reflection of color onto the palm of your hand. A stickerless cube like this one removes a risk of peeling stickers by accident (or the possibility of cheating by just rearranging the stickers), but may reduce the "beauty" or "antiquity" of the puzzle. This wasn't a problem for me, as I'm not a collector, but I do enjoy solving larger order NxNxN cubes (such as my most recent Shengshou 10 x 10 x 10). In reality, any cube can be a starting ground for how to solve, but I do recommend it if you are interested in casual speedsolving. The sides are super forgiving for over turns and accomodates the hands well. One final note: I have used the cube so much so that the black ink on the white center has almost completely faded. This doesn't effect my opinion of the cube, but it was funny when I first noticed it.
