Yeah, It's that good!
I've only had it about a week and have only spent a little time with it but on a first impression it's the best practice Amp I've owned. I've had Fender and Marshal 10Watt Amps and the VOX pathfinder is by far a superior Practice Amp. I read reviews that gave it very high marks on the clean channel but not much love on the distortion EFX. I found the clean channel to be exceptional, and I found the Distortion to be more than adequate for .......a practice Amp. Most players have their own EFX pedals anyway. This Amp has the usual Gain, Treble, Bass, Volume knobs. The Treble and Bass have exceptional range so you can actually get some great tone settings out of just these 2 knobs. Line out/Headphone jack allows quiet practice time or input top PA/Larger Cabinet. I play a PRS CE Custom for electric and I put both my Acoustic Martin Dreadnought and Martin 12 String through it clean with outstanding sound!. Good Volume in a Medium 20 a 16 ft basement studio. I wouldn't hesitate to mic this through a PA for a small room Gig. 5 Stars Great Value for a reasonable price. AND Quick Delivery!

Love it!
Just got this today and wanted to write a review because I loved it so much! I have a Vox AC15 as my main amp and wanted to get that great tone on the go. I mainly bought this because I am a full-time guitar teacher and wanted a new amp for daily lessons. I’ve use everything from a Dan electro honey tone, Pignose and my latest Marshall MG 10 watt. While all of those were good, I never found an amp that quite delivered a great sound as much is something you would play at home, but I figured that’s what you’re going to get for the price range, until now.... First off, the looks of this amp is awesome! It’s basically just a miniature version of the 15. The enclose and build quality is excellent and it just looks cool! Secondly, plugging in it sounds amazing on the clean, very nice and fall just like it’s father. Kicking on the overdrive channel, it starts bringing out that grit that I love on the Strat. Since a Strat with custom 69 pick ups is my main guitar, I wanted something that was going to bring that sound out. With the game around 9 o’clock in the basin trouble, around 2 o’clock, I achieved the sound I was looking for with plenty of volume left. I will say though with the overdrive maxed out, it’s a little bit fuzzy sounding, but that’s not really what you want out of a Vox anyways. I also plugged in my PRS Orianthi, which has dual humbuckers, and it sounded full and great with the max distortion! This amplifier will pretty much bring out what you’re putting into it and that’s what a good amplifier should do. I also hooked up an OCD version for just you hear what some extra drive with sound like and it sounds great and quiet. It was better sounding on the OD channel pushing it even harder. Overall I love this amp and it’s going to be in my new mainstay as far as a quick plug and play and in my daily guitar lessons. Absolutely love.

One of my most satisfying purchases ever.
I'm a household musician. I don't gig, I don't play in a band, and I don't record very often. Usually, I'm picking my acoustic on my porch. Some years ago, I got it in my head that I wanted to play around with an electric occasionally, so I bought one. I also bought an effects pedal and a nice set of headphones. Living in an apartment and having no other need for an amp, I figured the headphones were sufficient, and they were, for years. Moved to the country, and decided I wanted a setup that could sit, be organized, and could be turned on whenever the mood struck me. The catch was, I didn't want to buy anything too expensive, and I didn't want to be suckered into getting more than I needed. My biggest gripe these days is how hard it is for normal folks to sort through advertisements and elitism to find the "all you'll need" model of anything. From cars to computers to even food, it's impossible to know where your own satisfaction ends and excess begins. I can say that this little amp is an exception for me. It is exactly, perfectly, everything I need; it's loud, sounds excellent, is small and lightweight, and is awesomely priced. Looks nice, too; the retro, low-profile vibe is perfect on display in my living room with my guitar hanging above it. I play mostly metal and hard-rock through it, and still haven't gotten anywhere near as loud as it can go. The sound is monstrous for its size, and the overdrive is more than sufficient for jamming on your own. Add a few pedals for fun, and baby, you got a stew goin. The amp is great, and for the price it cannot be beat. If you're a beginner, it would be an excellent starter amp that would see you through many levels of skill building. If you're cramped for space or need to be able to easily move it, you can't get more sound in as small a package. If you're like me and have been playing for 20+ years, know the elitists are almost always wrong, and want killer amp for a sweetheart budget, then look no further.

Vox please bring back the 15r or add reverb to this one fix the volume discrepancy thank you
$110.00 price , yes it works for practice . Volume on clean channel super low , switch to overdrive it gets loud so be aware to that . By itself the tone is clean and clear on clean channel and not a bad overdrive sound . I wish Vox would have added reverb and fix the volume issue on changing from clean to overdrive then that would make this amp really great . The real way it shines is when you add a multi effects pedal on clean setting ( no overdrive ) because it really brings out the effects and drums well . It has a headphone jack but takes the 1/4 jack input . Of all the small practice amps tried this one performed the best overall and it is a Vox . When you add reverb to the clean channel it is a beautiful tone .

Works wonderfully for someone who has kids and doesn't want to wake them up with a loud amp. I can run all my pedals through it and it sounds wonderful. Its the VOX quality you want packed into a small yet awesome looking amp

I was pleased with the customer service and received the order on time and in perfect condition. Set up is very easy - plug in, set controls and play. I like the versatility of the settings on this amp. Offers a number of variations on the sound, including a ‘Bright’ setting that enhances the tone. I’m particularly impressed with the mellow sound when playing with nylon strings on the bass. Highly recommend as a reasonably priced practice amp with a few features to get whatever sound you’re into!
