Measurable Improvement
PC specs: CPU-Ryzen 5 3600 at stock speeds GPU-MSI Evoke OC RX 5700XT Stuffed into an itty-bitty Sliger Cerberus mATX case In an effort to quiet the fans on my GPU, I decided to replace the under-sized and poorly placed thermal pads on the VRMs and memory modules. I watched the Linus Tech Tips video for the K-5 and it seemed like a simple fix for cheap. And since the K-5 thermal compound is not electrically conductive, there wasn't much that could go wrong. I did some benchmark testing before and after removing the existing thermal pads and applying the K-5. See pictures. To maximize heat output, I ran Furmark on the GPU and prime95 on the CPU for 10 minutes and logged temps and GPU clocks to check for equal performance. As you can see, the numbers speak for themselves. Clocks appeared to be unaffected and the thermals definitely improved. That being said, this GPU is still hot as hell, and under actual gameplay loads (and depending on the game) the GPU hotspot temp (aka edge or junction temp) can still hit 100 C. This is better than the 109 C I saw before the K-5. I imagine that the K-5 being applied helps improve overall cooler performance, and thus allows the cooler to remove more heat form the GPU die itself. My next move will be to try a better thermal paste for the die, as the old tube of arctic silver I've been using for 10 years may not work as well as it used to. I forgot to take pictures of the K-5 after I applied it, but it is messy. Be sure to wear gloves and avoid getting it on anything other than the GPU. I didn't try to clean it up, but I imagine it would imagine it is not easy to get out of clothes. Overall this stuff works. If you are comfortable with taking apart a GPU (and it isn't that hard, just be sure to use the correctly sized screw driver) then this is an easy way to squeeze some better performance out of hardware if you aren't satisfied with it and can't really do anything about it now (I would think of getting a new GPU but I ain't feeding the scalpers).

Potential fix for the Greek Economy!
I bought this as a curiosity, having recently purchased 20m/kw thermal pads to replace the stock pads on the VRAM and voltage controller on my AsRock6700XT Phantom D Gaming gpu; which did ok but there were multiple thicknesses used throughout the construction and I just couldn't get all the contact points well enough to do the job I was hoping for, which matters because its the card I use in conjunction with a 5950x that I air-cool with a Noctua NH-U12A. The AsRock GPU is rated to operate as high as 110 degrees, but I don't like it exceeding 90 under load given its proximity to a high-heat CPU. So I buy this stuff. It not only works better than the pads (I had to buy a 2nd 20g jar for use between the backplate and card which is about 2.8mm difference) but it also made me remember way back to the early days of home PCs. Before custom builds, before internet shopping, before you could reasonably FIND a spare component or upgrade without having to contact the retailer or PC manufacturer. THIS WAS THE KIND OF GOOP THEY USED IN PCs, PEOPLE! Slathered unceremoniously between various components and their related heatsinks, messy goo was your reward for removing a warranty sticker to take something apart. You've heard the saying "the easiest solution is usually the correct one," right? Well, PC builders had it right all along decades ago, this company simply refined it to a higher grade to handle todays thermal demands. But due to companies thinking consumers wanted a "cleaner, simpler, more upgrade friendly" solution, thermal pads get invented and force us into thinking we have to make a sacrifice in performance in favor of convenience or less mess. Screw that. I never asked for anything to be smaller, more lightweight, less hassle, yada yada. I asked for stuff to perform well, and k5 Pro really does! In a world of electronic everything, every household with an overheating anything has a use for this stuff, and it boggles the mind how the Greek economy could be struggling the way it is when they have such a cash-cow export! Computer-Systems, raise the price by a dollar, make a TV or internet commercial to expand sales and go bail out your government. They need it.

Perfect for repasting your computer components.
Great thermal paste for repasting your computer components. Easy to use and good consistency for application. Keeps temperatures lower as it creates a nice bridge between the components.

Incredible results overall.
Purchased this stuff along with some PTM7950 thermal pads to repaste my laptop that was thermal throttling like crazy the last few months. After doing a cleanout and repaste with this stuff and the PTM7950, I went from an average of 91c-ish to an average of 69-70c. Let the laptop do a "burn in" period after seeing initial results as I couldn't actually believe the improvement I saw and I STILL can't believe it. This is on a 2021 RoG Zephyrus G14, where liquid metal was used on the CPU from factory which is an awful thing to use on a laptop, so could be part of the insane improvement I've seen as that kind of improvement just still doesn't make sense to me, but I don't care. I'm flabbergasted and can't recommend this stuff enough at this rate. Attached 2 images of my overall temps after a 2 hour benchmark and 6 how gaming session with no real "break" for the laptop in between. Temps are overall 15c cooler on average, up to 20c. Amazing product

Good for odd spots
The best use of this paste for me was to bridge areas where a thermal pad was missing and I did not know the size of the original pad. It's easy to apply, effective, and affordable. A few heat cycles will eventually burp out any air bubbles as this stuff melt and solidifies repeatedly. Don't worry if there's a bit of air in it when you apply. I don't recommend using this over a large area such as many GPU memory chips. It is not fun to clean up later if you need to remove the K5 for various reasons. It will melt slightly and flow over the edges of the components. No matter how I tried to portion the application this melting and overflow seemed to happen at some point. Using a very soft bristled toothbrush and some high purity rubbing alcohol was effective in cleaning the K5 later. Don't get me wrong -- this stuff is amazing for many applications and areas you won't be removing the heatsink often. It's pretty much a set it and forget it type deal.

Excellent!! Have a brand new computer.
Wow!! Would recommend this to everyone. Very easy to apply, if manipulated carefully. Just excellent product. I have an acer nitro 5 and my computer was super slow, heating to over 80 degrees. Now the temperature settles at 60 more or less, and my computer is much more faster.

Use a Piping Bag
I went in thinking it wouldn't be as sticky as it was, so I struggled greatly to get it in place, and was too foolish to put it in a piping bag. Learn from my mistake: just put it in a little zip lock bag, cut a teeny hole at the end, and pipe it on, instead of me smearing on little bits at a time like a doofus. Anyway, the product itself, once applied properly, has functioned very well. I put it on my 7900 xtx because the dang thing was getting to 110c hot spot with a 30+ delta, and now it's sitting pretty at over 20 degrees cooler with a <20 delta. Word to the wise, though: look at a slightly larger amount of paste. The product itself was good, if difficult to handle, but the quantity was to be desired; my gaps were roughly 1.5mm.
