This book is really amazing for a person who wants to persue art as profession. Love Loish and adore her art.

As i was a HUGE fan of LOISH the artist!! N the book is soo incredible n inspiring as well!! Heaven for artists! But i kinda blame for packaging as it was pretty poor but the item in it bop!!👍👌💐

Grt quality... Worth buying

I'm a BIG Loish fan and have been following her work since the 'Deviantart' days. This book was more like a memento for me and i love the way it's been designed. It's clean, sectioned off into how Loish grew into the artist that she is now plus a few tips and tricks which she uses for her art. The print is great and i received the book in excellent condition! The parcel came with bubble wrap inside and the book itself has a light cardboard sleeve, this really helped avoid those pesky blunt book edges we all fear!

Got it in amazing condition, and the book as well. Must by for the beginning in concept art or illustrations.

Je reçois ce livre en une semaine (provenance UK donc temps normal), emballé soigneusement dans un carton à double-battant. Le livre lui-même est dans un carton spécial à sa fabrication, à ranger comme une boîte de DVD. Le voyage a peut-être déformé un peu ce carton de déco, il y avait un pli, mais c’est très superficiel et tout à fait utilisable (et sans savoir si ce pli était là avant l’envoi...!) Je l’ai un peu feuilleté : les textes sont en anglais mais très accessibles avec un niveau bac : pas ou peu de mots de vocabulaire poussés. L’artiste y parle de sa propre vie, de ses débuts (avec de vieux dessins aussi), de ses œuvres et commandes actuelles, pour terminer pour des WIP commentés (sorte de tutoriel au final) et des astuces pour tel ou tel effet à la fin. Le livre est vraiment complet pour un simple artbook, bien mieux que les artbooks de productions cinéma par exemple où il n’y a que des images sans explications. De plus, le style Loish n’est pas inconnu d’internet, ce qu’elle fait est magnifique est rien que pour cela, ça vaut le coup de l’encourager et d’avoir cette mine d’or dans la bibliothèque ! 28 euros, c’est vraiment un prix appréciable pour autant de pages et de qualité.

Die Lieferung erfolgte in nur kürzester Zeit. Das Artbook ist in eine schlichte und robuste Verpackung gehüllt. Als Cover wurde eine Artwork benutzt die einen fließenden Übergang von Vorder- zur Rückseite ermöglicht was mir persönlich zuerst aufgefallen ist und sehr gefallen hat. Das Artbook ist mit viel Liebe gestaltet worden und jedes Detail wirkt perfekt abgestimmt. Im Allgemeinen Qualitativ sehr hochwertig. Am Anfang beschreibt Loish ihren Werdegang und wie sie zu dem Artist geworden ist, der sie heute ist. Dabei zeigt sie auch ihre kindliche und damals noch unerfahrene Seite. Es ist wirklich interessant zu lesen, da man sich sehr gut damit identifizieren kann, wenn man selbst auch zeichnet. Sie erklärt verschiedene Arten von Artworks Schritt für Schritt und gibt dabei hilfreiche Tipps. Sie spricht viel über "Ausprobierphasen" in denen sie verschiedene Farbgebungen ausprobiert und nie den Draht zum Traditionellen verloren hat. Ich kann das Artbook nur jedem digitalen Artist, aber jedem Fan empfehlen der neugierig ist und viele Artworks von Loish gerne selber im Regal stehen hätte. Das Artbook ist extrem hilfreich sowohl für Anfänger als auch für Fortgeschrittene. Die Artworks sind wunderschön und inspirierend zugleich. Kauft euch dieses Artbook!

Honestly when i first received it i was taken aback by the cover sleeve of the book since it was drastically different from the sketchbook of loish i got previously. It was rougher and looked worn out unlike the smoother finish on the other book cover i got :( To be fair the book itself is still intact and displays numerous gorgeous illustrations although there is slight yellowing of the first few pages…. Do get the book if you are a fan of loish though as it gives you more of an insight of her art!

This book is so inspiring, it's full of beautiful artwork, with details of the artists journey into digital art, lesson's she learnt along the way and there's some mini tutorials at the end of the book. It's part bio, part advise and part tutorials and the layout and design make this book a pleasure to hold and read. The packaging of the book reminds me of how they make art work for vinyl records, comes in a nice card sleeve. I will treasure this book for many years to come. If you love art, are curious about how artists work you'll love this book.
