Used it to replace the leaking can on my Heathkit Cantenna!!

For the holidays this year, the wife wanted nice house things to go with our new house..... I grabbed a load of gift cards and tossed them into this beauty of a can then set to work on the oobleck... Filled the can with the "liquid" and wrapped it to put under the tree. Confusion set in when she opened the wrapping of a blank can. Then she found the note on the bottom with the question "what color am I?" Once opened in the usual fashion, she became suspicious and dove in to find the gift cards. Each the exact amount for one gallon of paint with tax....

Perhaps the best paint can on the planet is the only way I could describe this product. Fill it to the brim with paint, water, beer, hopes, dreams, any liquid imaginable and you will not be disappointed.

My wife had a lot of left over paint which we kept around for touch ups. In one case it was almost a whole can of paint. Unfortunately the original can had been opened and closed the wrong way (bent lips) and lots of paint had been left in the grooves, and as a result the lid was not closing tightly. Add to that, the can was stored in our garage and had been exposed to hot, cold and humid air for a number of years. The result was a rusty can that could not be closed well with a lot of expensive paint, nearly a whole gallon, that could still be used. So rather than pour it into glass jars and risk dropping one and a big mess, I bought this metal can and poured the paint into it and sealed it properly (using a rubber mallet, not the sledge hammer my wife had used, ha!). It is stored in an indoor utility cabinet now to minimize the risk of rust in the future.

As other have said it came with dents and it not a value for my money. It's a thin metal and the quality is not that good.

Like other reviewers mentioned, my can came dented in two places. Whatever, fine, I'm actually using this to store extra leftover paint that was left by our painters in a 5 gallon tub-- which I don't have room to store. I can much more easily store a gallon up on the ledge in my garage. So I don't mind that it was dented, but its still annoying. Other than that, its a paint can. The lid fits VERY snugly, so it should keep my paint sealed away just fine.

Good quality, all-metal can. Hard to find.
