40344 Borla Pro XS Muffler

It's the perfect balance of aggresive and quiet. Nice and quiet while cruising or idling. But a nice aggresive roar when getting on it. I love it! Put it like this, I bought some for my 06 Caddillac DTS. Because they won't sound hillbilly like some flowmasters coming down the street but will really let the sound of my Northstar shine when I hit the on ramp. I put this one my 04 silverado which was straight piped which I liked but the drone was killing me! This is definitely a higher quality roar. Not a rattling, drone full noise maker. I was on the fence between this or something more aggressive but I am glad I went with this Borla.

I used this for my 73 GMC on a dual exhaust. Great quality, easy installation, and the sound is neighbor friendly. Not too loud, but it gives a really nice sound that isn't too loud when you get on the gas.

I installed this on a 2.9L V6 while updating the CAT and deleting the resonator. So it is Y-pipe to modern CAT and then custom 2" stainless to this Borla muffler. I also installed a Borla Square tip. This is a straight through design and I was worried it would be very loud. It is not. A little grumbly at idle, but it's find when cruising. I am also surprised how well the Borla tip reduces the raspy-ness. There is a performance gain that I can feel in the seat of my pants.
