Joke in party
Can't use this to open the oyster as the knife is too wide to insert into the oyster shell. Eventally i have to use my old way to open it, used an utility knife to thin shape insert the oyster shell to make a hole and use a table butter knife to open my 3 dozens of fresh oyters. The only good stuff is is make a big joke and have took a funny picture and video with this so call oyster opener in the party. Ask to refund.

In my case...
I only used this once yet, but I felt the ordinary table knife works easier for me.

Ok and does the job.
It’s a decent oyster knife. It was the only one I could get last minute and I’m happy I did. The blade is a bit large/thick, I prefer skinnier ones. The same for the handle. In general, depending on how familiar you are with oysters you can find this knife very « comfortable » to use or not but on the whole I think most people should be able to operate it. At this price it’s a good value for money and it does the job.

Blade is too thick
I tried on 10 Oysters and it was a difficult task. If you have small oysters then forget about using this knife as it's simple too thick to insert in the opening. The oyster senses its being attacked and closes tighter (after a 1 mins on each shellfish), rendering the knife useless. I ended up using a thin blade and it opened each one literally 10 seconds each!!
