It’s a great product for basing minis. It has a good gritty texture, and is thin enough to spread easily without clumping up. I’ve used these Vallejo products for years, and like all their products, it’s good stuff.

the best basing texture for the money. Once dry it takes paint extremely well and I use it for swamp, grassland, and deserts. It's easier than making your own and the tub is large enough that you won't need more for a long while.

My child recently used this paint for a project. The quality, thickness and color were as expected. It is a smaller sized (6.76 fl. oz), but we knew that when we ordered it. We are very happy with the look of the dried paint it is exactly as described.

You get soo much more for your money than you do with citadel/games workshop. Highly recommend Vallejo basing. Easy to paint over as well once it dries. I’d maybe give atleast 4 hours to dry out.

This texture paste is ideal for a scale sand texture. While similar effects can be achieved with pigments, I believe this is easier to control the placement of the sand and to sculpt into desired dunes, shapes, etc. The color is very similar to Vallejo Model Color Dark Sand acrylic paint.

Bought two of these. Barely made a dent with over 60 28mm miniatures based using this as a foundation. Good product, except the texture seems to be either white foam or lighter colored sand which requires some touch ups at times.

If you are into building and/or painting miniature figures for games like D&D or Frostgrave, this product makes basing quick and easy. Simply apply this thick paste to your base and allow it to dry. Takes paint well, but also looks great stand alone. Adds texture and interest to the bases of your minis. Also, you can add additional basing materials like rocks, cork, plastic skull or weapons, or ballast to the paste before it dries and it will act as a glue to hold these materials on your base. No need to prime the base, as this stuff sticks to everything and dries hard. The gel does shrink a bit during the drying process. You can build up the texture paste in multiple layers as well. **GREAT PRODUCT** This brown earth product is sort of the color of peanut butter. If you don't like the color, it paints very easily with or without primer.

The color dries matte. It sticks well. It takes paint well. The grain of the Vallejo dark earth gel is finer than you're likely to get if you make your own texture paint which means the texture is actually in scale. You also get a ton for your money. I'm not sure I'll live long enough to need to buy a second tub unless I take up commission painting. This is a hard product to beat.

It is good stuff. Use a stick/Popsicle stick to apply.

Awful colour, looks like sloppy baby poo, but u can add paint to change that.
