The keyboard is very quiet and has a light but sturdy action to the keys
A plain looking simple keyboard and mouse set that despite the price feels well built and adequate for everyday use and light gaming. At first it took me a bit to get used to the somewhat flatter layout of the keys that at first seemed to lack the individual key definition than any prior keyboards I've owned. The keyboard is very quiet and has a light but sturdy action to the keys. The space bar and back space keys seem to be attached differently than the other keys as they have a slightly different feel to them, but nothing to complain about. As for the mouse it is very simple and works well. At first it felt a tad small for my average size hands, but nothing along the lines of a mobile or laptop mouse size. I did notice that the buttons have a much more noticeable click to them, but in the time I've owned it they have become more quiet. Maybe it just needed a break-in period, can't say. Overall I am very happy with my selection and have found Microsoft keyboards and mice to hold up extremely well over years of use. Originally I was going to go for the Logitech mk100 keyboard and mouse set, but thought I'd stick with Microsoft for my keyboard and mouse. I just liked the higher quality look to the plastic and style of this MS set.

Good and Cheap
I got this for a friend. I did not use this personally. However, he stated that the feel and usability was great, and better than keyboards on laptops and some desktops he has used in the past. No problem with connectivity or quality. His words not mine. :)

Great product
Great quality, keys are easy to the touch but not too sensitive. I write on an average of 4 hours on this keyboard a day. Although its wired, but its for my office, so wire is not an issue. Best part is that I don't have to worry about recharging or changing batteries. One problem I had before using wireless is that, after a few months of heavy uses, the rechargeable batteries that usually comes with the keyboard will wear out and will only be able to sustain heavy work load few hours before needing recharge, so I had the USB charger constantly hooked in, sort of defeat the purpose of wireless. But if you are not needing to move the keyboard all over the house and need to sit and type a lot, this is probably one of the most comfortable wired keyboard. Sorry I have not use the mouse, so I'll update this post when I use the mouse.

Very nice, however
This is a great keyboard and mouse combo with one less thing to go bad (wireless) or reconnect and it doesn't need to be fed batteries. Great feel and good function. However, this has two USB connectors only. First, no adaptors are provided and you take up two USB slots. Second, if you really need a PS2 connection, e.g., for booting when you are having OS or driver problems, this is not the right combo for you.

As basic as it gets.
The keyboard and mouse combo pack is decent enough, but simply that's it. The keyboard keys were very quiet the first time I used it and then somehow by the next day it was noticeably louder. The keys are soft enough but the response is nothing to write home about. The mouse is loud and clicky, cheaply made and a barebones optic mouse. It's free so whatever. Now, one thing I experienced with this keyboard when taking it out of the box was that it would not lay flat on my keyboard tray. I had to twist the entire keyboard holding both ends to undo the warping of the plastic as best as I could. I was frankly pissed and I'm lucky I didn't break it when doing this.I could have contacted Amazon to get a replacement but I didn't want to go through the hassle of shipping it back and waiting for them to send another one as I needed a keyboard at the time. I really should have demanded my money back for receiving it damaged. If you order this hopefully you'll receive a keyboard without any issues. It's cheap, a basic model keyboard and if that's what you want that is exactly what you'll get. The only LED icons on the keyboard are for Number Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock when activated. The keyboard is as black as Microsoft's soul. I would have preferred one in silver myself...

Reliable
I love these, I used to put these in all the time working for a small business domain management company. I bought this for like $18 for a junk computer my kids could thrash. They step on the keyboard and throw the mouse around everyday. This product is still working about a month later now. Good product for the money, would recommend.

The loudest mouse you'll ever hear
So the keyboard is fine. And I like the fact that the mouse is a laser mouse. But could you have made the clicker ANY LOUDER??? It's so loud I have to stop working at night when my wife wants to go to sleep because she can hear it from the bedroom. I'm not willing to go buy a new keyboard/mouse right now because who wants to buy another one? After maybe 6 months of use, the mouse is still loud as ever. But it's starting to squeak a bit as well. Sounds like it needs oil or something...

ze function keys, ze are so small
I am on my computer everyday for work and after work. I was looking for a replacement for the Dell AQ6-7D20 I've been using and have not found a good option yet.pro: long USB cordpro: nice key-feel / touch feedbackpro: feels like reasonable quality constructiongeneral cons: I prefer to use the elevation tabs (or whatever they call them) and combining taller elevation with the curvature of this KB feels weird. And I agree with the other reviewer - the keys feel too close together.deal-breaker: the function keys (F5 etc) are the size of a tic-tac and even more flush to the KB face than even alphanumeric keys are. I need the function keys on a regular, daily basis. The way these are presented just isn't going to work for me.no comment: haven't tried the mouse.general comment: I need something that will not impede my touch typing, right now this doesn't fit the bill for me, it just leaves me feeling too cramped.

lightweight keyboard and mouse
The keyboard action is quite responsive, no need to hit the keys hard, so you can maintain a good typing speed. The keys are a good size and are arranged in classic keyboard style. No surprise location for the delete button! There is a 'drip edge' around the keyboard which makes it a little bigger than expected. The mouse is compact and light as well, and fits my 'largish' hand comfortably. The wheel on the mouse does make some noticeable noise when scrolling but is tolerable. I received the product promptly and well packaged. Good product for the price.
