Krylon Clear Aerosol Polyurethane Coating, 11 oz, Gloss Finish

This poly is awesome. I know it's pricey, but the coverage and finish are unmatched. It goes on easy, levels well and dries in about 20 minutes (literally). Time between coats is about 15 minutes. This is not the stuff for a large project - the cost will break you. But for smaller projects, like the Baltic birch slide-out keyboard shelf or the hard maple block bench tops for my 40" rollaway and work cart, you won't find a better spray poly. The only finishing I did to all of those was a light rub with stainless steel wool and 2 coats of Meguire's NXT car wax (yeah, car wax - the finish is amazing). I've used the clear gloss and the satin and they both work great. Amazon is the best place to get this (unless you're planning on buying cases of 6) because it's hard to find anywhere else (no luck at Ace/True Value, Home Depot or Lowes). The only cons: Price - I mentioned that before... and, its very stinky... Definitely use this outside (on a slightly breezy day) and use a respirator (not a dust mask). Got a small to medium project to poly coat... get some.

Durable. Smooth. Clear. Water-proof. Great for sealing terrarium or vivarium decor. Some yellowing if you don't follow the directions to a tee (e.g. don't space re-coating, dry in overly hot/humid area.

I tried to get something like this in Home Depot, but they did not think it existed. Thanks Amazon, it works great. If you are looking for that shine, this is the one. I mainly used this on an outdoor wood table I built years ago. At that time I used a dark stain polyurethane mix. It was dull, dull, dull until I gave it a couple of coats of this. No paint brushes, no cleanup, beautiful.

Excellent quality. I used it to coat some bamboo pieces to make them water proof. Looks awesome and seems quite strong. Warmly recommended.
