Works well with HTC One and iPhone 5
I have the HTC One and easy connect and operation with good sound quality. The wife has the iPhone 5 and have to say it worked just as easy and as clear...believe may be a few extra things on iPhone, but nothing drastic.Yes you can't use it with your phone...but actually you can if you have your phone somewhat close as the voice is heard through the speakers and you just talk...but of course it can't be too far away as it will not be understood.GPS navigation and all audio works great through the device onto your car audio system...I was able to operate Google now with my window cradle for my phone. No complaints as advertised with good battery and short recharge.

85% good, but a couple of annoying things
I've had this HTC BT Adapter for a little over a month, and I've been mostly pleased with it. It pairs easily with my HTC One M8, though friends have been able to easily pair their non HTC phones with the device. Audio quality sounds great to me. Although I'm not an audiophile myself, a friend who is was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and commented that it was "very good."I haven't had a chance to check the battery life yet because I am just leaving it plugged in so it is always charging while the car is running. I installed an app on my phone called "Bluetooth connect and play" which automatically plays from a chosen media source as soon as the BT connection is made. This allows me to simply push the button on the adapter to turn on bluetooth and listen to music without ever removing my phone from my pocket.Although overall I've been very pleased with this purchase, I can find three elements to nitpick which prevent me from giving it a 5 star rating. Least annoying to most:Due to the simplistic design of the adapter, the charger plugs into the back of the device. Because I leave mine plugged in, and my aux in is below the radio face on the center stack, I always have a cord running to the center of my console, as well as the fact the the rear charger placement ends up adding a couple inches further sticking out once plugged in. Aside from cosmetic concerns, I'm a bit worried that over a long period of time, the extra weight of the charger being plugged in on the back of the adapter could damage the aux in port on my car. In my case, an aux plug set to a 90 degree angle to the rest of the device would be nice.Second, the red and green LED indicator is unnecessarily complex. I think this is a case of the device trying to be too helpful... fast green blinking = pairing mode, three blink bursts = on... beyond that I don't care what its trying to tell me with alternating fast red and green blinks, or solid red light (maybe that means charged). Granted I could look this up in the little piece of paper that came with it, but I threw that s*** away as soon as I opened the package. Finally, the one truly annoying aspect of this charger is the on/off button. A simple push will not turn the device on; you need to hold the button down for about 1.5 sec to turn power on. Hold the button for 2 sec and you will put it into pairing mode, which necessitates holding the button again to turn it off and trying again. Because of this, it takes some time to get it right. This seems like something that could be very easily avoided. Despite this very first world problem, pleased with the purchase and would recommend it.

It works great
I have tried ten different product to add Bluetooth capabilities to my 2008 Ford F-150 even a system that costed around $80 which had wires running all over my dash making it embarrassing. What's worse is that my phone and friends phones had difficulty connecting to it. I brought this recently and the contrast between wire everywhere to include a mic near my head and just this lil square was noticeable. It literally works with every type of phone me and my friends have from my HTC One A9, iPhone6 to a windows phone. Sound clarity is greatly improved and neither of us have to try to reconnect to it the phones have it saved and never have to turn one Bluetooth off in order for the other to work. All in all its a great buy and thankfully don't have to plug it into a charger all the time.

Two died out of three in a course of a year. Will not recommend.
Such a light weight, enabling receiver that made my Howard Leight 1030110 Headphones Earmuffs enabled with music, without the cord, that otherwise would be a danger in a workshop. But sadly, I bought THREE of them (initially two to swap out when one of the receiver's battery dies out. The third one was meant as a replacement, but now I only have ONE working one as of today. Two of the three receivers cannot turn on, and only shows a blinking green light upon trying to plug it in for a recharge. This is within the course of the year I have owned the three receivers.HTC's customer support is atrocious. Insisting I contact with the vendor directly for a warranty (WHY CAN'T I GO THROUGH HTC?) There is no area on their website to at ease register a product and follow up for a warranty like say Logitech for example.I had enough of HTC's antics. From not refining a very durable phone and ceasing support of it - of which I had to get the developer's preview to even continue my HTC 8X's use; to abstaining a dedicated camera button on an otherwise good phone (HTC M8 for Windows); and following the Apple trend (metal prettyness in lieu of durability sans bulky case - of which it doesn't matter once you use a damn phone case) and you have a shallow me-too company.I have recommended this product in the past - initially. Now? No way. The reliability and customer support (I phoned twice and with the same redirection of you must contact the Amazon vendor bullshittery) makes me want to stay the heck away. Their direction on devices is dismal.I will be looking for another receiver, since I am not sure how long my last HTC receiver would last. And all three were paired with that very same HTC 8X I am still currently using (updated with the Windows Phone developer's preview).

If you like bass (at all) don't get it.
It does what it is supposed to, and is nice and compact like a USB flash drive. The audio quality was very clear and crisp. The problem with this device is that there is absolutely ZERO bass coming from it. I EQd my audio coming from my phone with the bass maxed out, I maxed out the bass of my car audio, did everything I could to try to get some bass out of it - and it just wasn't there. Returned it and got the Saturn Avantree receiver/transmitter and have been MUCH happier with it.
