Perfect Product For Natural Nails
This nail bonder works perfectly on natural nails for helping make your manicures last. I am not a fan of spending a lot of money and going to nail salons, so I do weekly manicures on myself. It took me a few months to learn exactly what products help keep nail polish staying in place without chipping. This nail bonder was recommended to me and it is the first step in my manicures. I begin with the nail bonder, followed by a primer, basecoat, color of choice, and ending with a topcoat. I learned that I need to use all of these products to keep my nails looking their best. This bonder helps adhere to my naked, natural nails, and helps everything else stick to it as it is intended to do. It was a learning process for me, and I am no scientist, but this stuff really does work wonderfully!

Better than expected
This was an impulse purchase after I read several glowing reviews in an article with a title like "20 things under $20 on Amazon that will make your life easier" I was already familiar with some of the things on the list and while none of them were trash some required a reasonable amount of work to get to a point where it is actually easier to use the thing (or might be most useful for learning a new skill). I do not use nail polish often or with much skill, but I do love the feeling of well done nails. I was happily surprised by how well this worked. My sister thought I had gotten a professional manicure. It was easy to apply, did not take a long time to dry, and made it noticably easier to apply a smooth and even coat of polish to my treated nails. My nail polish seems to be holding up well (even though it is a relatively inexpensive quick dry polish).

I love it!
This is everything I expected, and more! My nail polish usually doesn't even last 24 hours! I am a photographer who shoots weddings and between changing lenses, digging through bags of equipment, and putting together the lighting kit, my nails do not last! I'll first describe my process and then the end result after 1 week of wearing nail polish. 1. Remove all nail polish with remover (obvious, I know) 2. Apply 2 layers of Orly Rubberized base coat, wait 15 minutes in between layers 3. 30 mins later, apply 2 coats of desired color: I use Trust Fund Beauty - their polish is amazing! 4. 1 hour later, apply your top coat: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Nail Coat Okay, onto the results I got with the above application: My nail polish stayed in tact for 1 week. Here's why I am amazed: my nails survived CRAB PICKING (I live in MD and we literally had a crab feast; my nails came out unscathed), outdoor festivals, moving furniture, packing boxes (I am moving), washing dishes without gloves, doing laundry, cooking, scrubbing, and lastly, sanding rust off of metal parts. Ultimately, sanding the gross rust off is what discolored my nails and kind of ruined them. I'm still incredibly impressed and feel like normal girls don't do as much with their hands as me. DOES IT REALLY MAKE YOUR NAILS PEEL? Okay, I was just DYING to know the answer to this question and the reviews were not specific at all. After 1 week of wear, I removed the nail polish and noticed that on just a few nails the tips appeared to be peeling, ever so slightly. Trust me when I say the peeling was *slight*. It was literally nothing to be concerned about. I did a very gentle buff to the tips of those few nails and it completely removed the few parts that may have been peeling. I think the people who are claiming that it peels your nails are those who PICK at the nail polish. Because it makes sense that the bonder would be strong enough to rip off the top layers of your nails if you pick off the nail polish. So, I recommend to always remove the nail polish with remover and DO NOT PICK AT YOUR NAILS and you'll be totally fine! All in all, amazing product! Worth every penny!

Seriously! Anyone doing home manicures or even professionals need to be using Orly Nail Bonder for their basecoat. It's a real game changer. The first time I tried this my manicure lasted 9 days, possibly more too, and the only reason I removed my polish is because I grew tired of the color and wanted to change it. Absolutely no flaking or polish chipping off and my hands are in water all the time. (Old manicure rule of avoiding getting your nails wet until they are completely dry still applies!) I've always destroyed my manicure by addictingly picking off polish at the sign of the first small chip. Anyone else do this? Well, you won't anymore! Another good factor is that Orly Bonder doesn't discriminate either. I've used it with polises of all price ranges with the same great results. Being right handed, nail polish always kind of rubs off exposing the tips of my nails after a few days and although this still happens, exposure of tips of my nails is miniscule and I'm sure I'm the only one who notices! If you're like me and get some hits and misses when you buy new cosmetics & beauty items after reading reviews, try this now! I know I'll never go back to any other base coats and I wonder where this has been all my life! I personally stand by Orly Bonder base coat and I am eager to read any reviews from any who heed my advice. It's been fun to write a blazingly good review on a product too! 💅

The base coat works very well. My nails were very fragile after applying the nail polish directly to them, however, since purchasing this product, I noticed that they beak and layer less. Also the nail polish itself seems to adhere better and last longer. The drying time isn't the fastest.

It really dries fast and helps even old polish stick on well... HOWEVER, I feel like it doesn't work well with the Seche Vite fast drying top coat. My manicure started peeling off! I feel like it's due to the top coat (many do complain that it shrinks and pulls away from the nail) but I'm not sure yet. But I like how it makes my nails feels and I feel like it can extend the life of regular nail polish.
