My dentist talked with me about enamel breakdown and getting more porous as we age...I'm 72 now. I wanted to use a whitening toothpaste but wanted to be safe. I feel safe using this one. My dentist said it would be good to use also,

One of the best SLS-free toothpastes. Sodium lauryl sulfate is frequently used as a foaming agent in toothpastes. However, it is a known irritant and causes canker sores (aka aphthous ulcers) in sensitive people. For decades I had painful canker sores almost all the time, and haven’t had one since switching to a SLS-free toothpaste about eight years ago.
