Barbie Hunger Games Catching Fire Katniss Doll

Katniss looks just like I imagined her from reading the books - I have not seen the movie yet. Just like the other Catching Fire dolls, she is well made and an accurate representation of the character. We purchased these for our 11 year-old granddaughter who is a great fan of The Hunger Games; she says Katniss is perfect and will treasure her.

Pretty and in perfect condition

Mattel Barbies have always been of great quality and I knew with this purchase I would be receiving the same quality. My granddaughter of 12 collects Barbies and has been given ones from the 50s she loves "Hunger Games" and this character is her favorite. She has the first one and now the second and thanks to Amazon we were able to get it for her because we couldn't locate her on the shelves she was a hot selling item for Christmas this year.

She's a cool doll. The one tiny thing is the way they tied her hand to the bow. In order to untangle her from the packaging, as with all of these things now, you have to do quite a few contortions to cut the unnecessarily super-strength plastic bindings, and you risk damage to the product the packaging is supposed to protect. It is quite a chore. In doing so, the small invisible band at her hand needed to be cut just to undo the doll. My daughter enjoys this doll, and it is suitable for girls who enjoy an independent role model such as Katniss.

WOW!! if you are a Celebrity doll collector you know that when Mattel decides to make a celebrity doll it's either hit or miss which is mainly because of their recycled head molds...they use the same headmold for most of their celebritys whether it really looks like them at all..well for the first katniss doll they used one of their recycled barbie headmolds..her clothes was nice but that was it..when i seen they were making the catching fire katniss with her own facemold i had to ger her..the pictures dont do her justice..she is droo dead gorgeous..i wouldnt change a thing about her..she looks just like jennifer lawerence in the film..i wish theyd make additional outfits from the film because id buy individual dolls for each..

Doll looks amazing! Most replica dolls don't come close to the real thing, she looks like Jennifer Lawrence. My 8yr old loves her, the only complaint was that the arrows don't come out of her quiver. I don't mind that part. I'm sure if they did I would hear...MOOOOM I can't find the arrows.

I love Barbie and have been collecting dolls in this line that catch my eye for years. The Hunger Games doll offerings have been beautiful and come close to resembling the actors they're based on. While I haven't taken this doll out of the box, I can tell you that its beautiful and very detailed, and holds a very visible place in my display.

My daughter and I loved the movie so I got her this for Christmas. The Peeta one broke the first day so now we are afraid to touch either of them. These definitely are NOT for a young girl to play with (she is 11); I guess you might be happy with them if you are getting them to look at only. They do come with a stand to show them off on. The stand does not snap together well so it isn't too secure. All around I can't believe the poor quality that Mattel is now putting out on their Barbie line. Shoot my barbies went through lots of tough play and loving, and still lived to play another. All my daughter did to the Peeta doll was remove his boot (it had slits to supposedly allow easy removal), and Peeta's foot fell off. It was almost impossible to get the darn thing back on, but finally her brother was able to do it for us. Shame on you Mattel. You definitely are not what you once were.
