This is the good stuff
I recently replaced the rusted front panels on the washing machine with new ones. The replacement pieces did not come with the gasketing material needed so I searched for it here on Amazon. Sure enough, a vendor with exactly what was needed appeared and the exact replacement was sent overnight. The tape comes packaged in three segments in individual pouches. This way one can work with a piece rather than contaminating the entire roll in an accident. I only needed short pieces to prevent leakage in the detergent hopper and another piece for sound insulation between the lid and main cabinet. The adhesive is amazingly strong and works equally well on metal and plastic. This installation went quickly and the remaining portion of the roll went neatly back into it's pouch. I'll keep tabs on the effectiveness and update this review if needed

Very good product
I read a lot of reviews and then decided to order it regardless of the winning cry babies out there. I repair everything myself around here. There are very few products that I use that I actually get pleasure working with, this is one of them. Sure it has a slight bit of extra glue here and there but it does not interfere with its use at all. When you put this stuff on it sticks, and that is the most important aspect you want. It is not super stiff as some say, it is just right. I used this to seal a cellar window I built that needs to come back out when I need it to so I can load wood through the whole. I stuck it against somewhat rough wood trim and it adheres tremendously. It is about an 1/8” thick I believe so I had one spot that still has a slight air leak, but then again I built this myself and it does not have perfection to it. If I did it again I would go to 1/2” thickness so it has just a bit more absorption for flaws. Still, I am very happy with this product and the outcome.

Worked to create an inexpensive guard against car owners who are careless when opening doors
Just installed this foam cushion onto a magnetic strip along the front and rear doors of my new luxury EV to be a buffer against those who are careless when opening doors in our condo parking garage. Assigned spaces -- so I know who put the first ding in the door of my months old EV with 3000 miles. I know it is just a car but it cost big bucks and I work hard to keep it operating and looking great. So after the door was dinged, I took action and next step is to alert my neighbor, telling him why my lovely car now has an easily removed protective stripe! Magnetic tape had an adhesive strip that bonded well with the adhesive on the foam. Both could be cut to size with industrial scissors.

Protective.
This works well to close up space. I used it between the door and the frame. Blocked out cold and kept in air.

A perfect seal for the deteriorating seal on my cabin air filter housing for my car.
On my car, there is a seal around the edge of the cabin air filter housing. It's there for a reason. After about 15 years, the foam seal deteriorates, and little chunks of it will actually get sucked into the heating/AC system. This product, combined with a bit of elbow grease, probably saved me $100 in a new part and a trip to the dealership. Especially for such a tedious little, but necessary job. No seal on the cabin air filter housing/tray means whistling, lower efficiency, dust, whatever. Great product. Just pay attention to the measurements. A quarter of an inch by an eighth of an inch was perfect for this automotive application. Very satisfying.

Good, but needs some QA
The foam is good. Soft, maintains shape, etc. It's lightweight, and the rolls are easy to separate and handle. My only beefs are the adhesive quality and quality control of how the adhesive was applied: --It detached from the foam easily while peeling the backing. If the backing is pried away carefully and then the foam pressed into place, it adheres VERY well to the foam at that point. But directly off the roll, the adhesive came away WAY too easily. --The adhesive strip wasn't always centered, so some adhesive stuck out. Where this happened, the adhesive grabbed a cabinet door where I used this foam on the frame to quiet things. This resulted in the foam being pulled loose when opening the cabinet door just a day after application. --It didn't stay on the wall very well in some spots. So it seemed inconsistent. Which is almost funny given the detaching I mention above... After it was pressed into place in long 10' horizontal runs, it let go of the wall in spots overnight, but NOT from the foam! All that being said, once I got used to the quirks it all went fairly well. I used most of it as a sort of crown molding on the wall where it meets the ceiling to hide the rough edges next to acoustic tiles. Being flat black it just kinds of blends into the tiles too. So I just used additional adhesive to keep it on the wall. Easy to cut/shape. The fact that the foam itself retains it's shape after being pressed on for long periods so works well as a door seal (with better adhesive.)

Works great
I needed this to block air and insects from entering my boarded up window, as I installed a mini split ac unit. The reviews say it sticks to anything. Yes, the reviews are correct, I had this things sticking to wood, and the outside painted wood. I just wish it was longer roll, but made it last by cutting it down the middle. Will be purchasing more of this when the need arises. In my opinion, this is a great product.
