No complaints, as described. Good quality and durable.
Use daily. Works well. I do not use the fan for cooling so no idea on that aspect, but is holds up to daily laptop use and setting up and taking down multiple times per day. I have bought 2 at this point over 3 years. So seem to last about 1.5 years of daily use before the joint gives out. I believe this is good quaity and value for the money. Will continue to buy this brand when the old one breaks. The height adjustment is very good for multiple levels and has a number feature to use to make sure everything is level and if you purchase a new one you can set it up to the exact settings of previous one. The design is stable and non-intrusive. Very easy to use. Highly recommend

Stable, sturdy aluminum construction, easy to adjust, well-made... what's not to like?
What a relief. I was a little concerned by the (somewhat comical) negative reviews, but decided to order anyway, and chose the Pwr+ model over the (very similar) options because Pwr+ seem to be very concerned with satisfied customers. Looks like it was a good decision. (And I have NO connection to the seller... was NOT given a free sample, nor was I asked to write a review. I just needed something to raise my keyboard and trackball to standing height, and bought this one.) The package arrived promptly, and was very easy to open and set up the stand for me. Yes, the adjustments can be a bit fiddly, but the locking detents match side-to-side, and honestly folks, a bit of patience and a positive attitude and I had it set up in 5 minutes. It's very stable, and the construction is high-quality, with aluminum legs, table, and trackball shelf. The hinge mechanisms are plastic, but seem quite sturdy, with very positive lock positions and no wobble when set correctly. Notice I said "trackball" shelf. I use a trackball, and it's a perfectly stable perch for that use. It's a bit small for a standard mouse, about 2/3 the size of a typical mousepad, but seems like it could be used that way if you're determined to make it work. The surface is textured paint, so a mouse would have some traction. I don't like using standard mouse devices. Trackballs don't hurt my hand, are easier to use... and stay where you put them... so this little shelf works great for me. Probably be ideal as well for other input devices, like an Apple magic trackpad. I have a couple Macbook Pro 17s, and although I'm only using the stand to hold a full keyboard (and the trackball) and a wrist resting pad, and am not using it to support the laptops, I tested it with one and it WILL certainly support a 17" laptop. Of course, if you adjust the stand to a crazy, gravity-defying angle, you'll spill your $3,000 laptop onto the floor. So don't do that. Common sense is NOT included in the package. Also tested the USB-powered fans and they worked quite well. Not silent, but not loud either, and very useful for hot laptops. Well integrared, there's a special USB cable included in a small plastic bag, as well as two clips to help secure laptops that are shaped more like a boat. The Macbook has a simple flat front edge, and the built in lip held it fine at a steeper angle than I'm comfortable typing. If you're planning on lying on your back in bed and want the computer at a crazy angle, you'll need the clips at the very least. Don't expect a miracle. It's not as wide as a breakfast-in-bed tray, either, so you probably can't put it over both your legs and feel comfortable, but I think it'll work fine if you're reasonable about how you position it and yourself. My only criticism, and it's a minor one, is that it could benefit from rubber feet to prevent the stand from scooting easily on a smooth, formica-topped desk. I have small, adhesive-backed rubber feet from another device, so I'm fine. Those should be included. So, this was a ridiculously cost-effective purchase. It's a well made, nicely-finished, relatively sleek design, and fully adjustable. I can imagine lots of other uses for one of these... and highly recommend this one among the clones available on Amazon. Given my trepidation after reading the comical reviews, I'm extremely happy with this thing. UPDATE: Posted a photo of the newest setup, showing the height adjusted and even, but the legs in different positions. In other words, the sides have use different angles that average to the same height side to side. I believe this makes the stand even more stable for use as a standing workstation. And to reiterate, unless there's more than one version being sold on this page, the legs are ALUMINUM, the locking hinge-joints are plastic.

Overall this is a good product that works well for what it was designed to do.
This portable, adjustable laptop stand is everything it is advertised to be. It takes a little bit of practice to get used to adjusting the legs, but having the angles marked on each joint makes it easy to adjust both sides equally. Having the angle markings might seem like a little thing, but it's actually a huge advantage! The legs are aluminum as is the table. The only parts that are plastic (aside from the fans) are the joints. This is not a factor in the quality of the product. The fans work very well. I have an older 17" laptop that tends to overheat when I use it on a regular flat surface. On this stand, I have no overheating problems at all. I like the adjustability of this stand. The legs can be extended so that the stand can actually be used as a small tabletop podium or a standing work station. The stand is very stable with minimal wobble - you won't feel like it might topple over or dump your laptop. There are a couple of minor - very minor - drawbacks, but I felt like they are things that people who are considering buying this stand would want to know. * For people with wider than average hips, it might be a tight squeeze using it bed-tray style. * The clips for the fan cable are nice to have but they are a little hard to mount on the stand. A couple of small binder clips would do just as well and could be used to solve the mouse pad storage/transport problem (see below). * The mouse pad is the biggest inconvenience of the whole setup. It cannot be mounted on the stand with the legs folded completely flat along the sides of the stand and there is no place to connect it to the stand for storage and transport. You have to carry it along as a separate piece. Once you have the stand in the position you need, you have to adjust the mouse pad so that it is completely flat, otherwise the mouse won't stay on the pad - it has a tendency to slide off the metal pad. If the pad had a thin rubberized coating over it, that would take care of the sliding problem. Overall this is a good product that works well for what it was designed to do. I give it 4 1/2 stars for the minor drawbacks I listed. I am glad I bought it.

Great little lap table
This is a great lap tray for computer and craft projects. I can set with my husband while he watches football and still do what I want to do.

This table makes laptop working comfortable. Easily adjustable to different positions and must if one had difficulty watching laptop in one position due to backpain.

The number of ways this stand can be set-up is wonderful; it also allows me to have a 98% clear desk to continue working, as it sits at right angles to my main desktop with 7" of height clearance for paperwork beneath it. It arrived quickly and is beyond my expectations...wish I'd had the idea long ago. It's black metal (not plastic). I also like the metal inset pivot-buttons which allow for easy & fast manipulation of the legs/height/angles. A real treat.

The ledge is too short and my laptop nearly slipped off. It is also not very stable- wobbly. Buyer beware!
