PADI Open Water Diver Manual with Table

This is the bible for people getting ready for SCUBA school! It is one of only two approved manuals for PADI certification study. Well written and informative, this will set you on the right course for learning how to dive safely and the various things you need to learn in order to gain certification. Highly recommended to those with an interest in SCUBA diving.

I was certified as an Open Water Diver in the 1990's. I got sick in early 2000 and haven't gone diving all this time. I'm all better now and checked with my doctor and he said I can Dive again. I bought the book and DVD to study so when I go to ST Maartin in january I can renew my certification of, if I need to, recertify. The book seems a lot more flashy than the book I remember in the '90's. It's easy to read, has a lot of highlights and clearly marks the thinks that are very important. I still have the book I got in St Maartin in the '90's (with my handwritten notes in it) and the new book highlights a lot of the places where I underlined and it has notes in a lot of places where I wrote my own notes while studying in my hotel room. It's kind of funny. The quality of the paper is better in the new book and overall I like it.

A text with everything you need to know for PADI Open Water Certification. I bought it to use as a reference, having done the course online. I preferred the video & audio learning to reading the book. However, the book is cheaper than the online course and probably a faster way to learn the material than watching videos.

Great resource for brushing up after not diving for a number of years. Sadly my copy arrived without the removable “Table 3”. Luckily this table exists in the book, but flipping back and forth to reacquaint myself with dive tables was tedious. I know my Air Integrated Computer calculates this and I can just glance at my computer now, but it’s always good to remember how to do it properly.

I've been diving for 20 years, but now go on a dive trip just once a year and this book will help me to just review a few items before I dive.

I am presently working on my scuba certification and tried the eLearning portion of the class without this book. I am an old fashioned learner - I need a book to read or refer back to. This book is perfect! It completely matches the eLearning class to a tee. I read the chapters/sections, take each quiz (hiding the answers) and then go on line and take the final chapter assessments. If you have any issues with the eLearning portion of scuba certification, I would highly recommend this book. This book also offers something I can refer back to even after completing my certification.

I ordered two PADI diving manuals for my 2 sons who want to take up scuba diving , but wanted to go through the manual before actually taking the course. They arrived on time and were just as advertised . Thanks, Evans Bevill Springfield, Georgia

Has all the same info as elearning. Be aware, however, that doing the elearning actually gives you credit for the book learning (if you pass the test) whereas reading the book does not so you may still have to sit down with your instructor and go over the knowledge reviews and take the test.

latest version with the dive table included. easy to follow by my 14yr old when completing his Open water course. Has example tests / knowledge reviews to help prepare for the written exams.

I chose to purchace due to price along with photo of dive table and book shown together as a package. Writen discription incorectly described the condition of the book, in much worse condition, book cover seprated from book for one. The dive table was not in the discription but shown together in the main photo of the product being sold and as they are used together one is led to believe you are purchacing both together. NOT! Disappointed but I recieved the information I was looking for and that is wat is most important, I just will not be a repeat customer.

It is exactly as described and replaces my lost one, I now discover though you cannot use it as a classroom resource as the materials have all been changed my bad
