Metra AX-ANR1000 In Line Noise Filter

This did not get rid of the engine whine. It just lowered it some. It's still audible enough to be annoying. Also, there is a big voltage drop across it. Enough to take out my head-up display, which senses 13 volts and switches on automatically when the car starts and the voltage jumps from 12+ to 14+ VDC. This thing dropped the (engine running) voltage to my power outlet from 14.1 to 12.7 so the HUD doesn't switch on. Fortunately, the reference voltage can be adjusted downward. But I still need a solution to the whine.

Worked as intended, used the zip tie channels to mount it up and was done in minutes. Used on a noisy cigarette lighter plug I socket a FM transmitter in. Problem solved!

The product I received didn't look like the picture. I observed no reduction in engine whine. This product is not effective to reduce engine whine.

Attached power as shown by diagram for 12 volt power and 12 volt power to head unit and it would not work. It was not worth the money or time to return it.

Same experience as the other reviewer. The directions were wrong. Red needed to go to the head unit, green to the power supply. Once installed properly it worked.

Doesn’t work. And I’ve had 2 of them
