Yes it does, it will clamp to any circular saw.

Q: I need to rip 5cm (slightly under 2") strips of Ply. What is the minimum it will cut as I see there is some "dead zone"?

You can actually cut some very thin strips if you want to, I have cut down to 10mm wide. You are limited just by the strength of the material you are cutting, your blade kerf and quality. When you get down to really thin strips the saw can be pretty aggressive and this may cause the strips to break if very thin.

Yes the worx saw will fit both the rip cut and the accu-cut. The reason for the different lengths stated is that two different accessories are supplied. The rail system (accu-cut) can be used on any width sheet goods up to 48” but you can add more track if you require longer. The rip cut works in a different way as it uses the edge of the board as a guide and you are limited to 24” width cuts.
