I used it with a Vevor dust separator for an 800 CFM Powertec dust collection system. I have the lid wired to the ceiling so I can disconnect the barrel, slide it out from under, and take it outside to dump. Works great and my dust collection system does not collect anything till the barrel fills up.

Durable and easy to open. Great for storing garden tools if you don't have wall space to hang them in your garage or shed. I also bought the wheel base which makes it even more functional since it is easy to move around my garage with the changes of the season.

I drilled holes up the sides with a hole saw to allow some air flow and then used it as a burn barrel. I suppose you could use it as a regular barrel but thats boring. Once done destroying the evidence, I put the lid on top to stop pesky sparks from lighting the neighborhood on fire.

Barrel is light weight and easy to pickup, move. Very durable - perfect for storage - cut some vent holes in the sides and it makes a great burn barrel.

It does great for safety disposal of our rags.

The drum makes a good dust collector for your shop vac, but an adjustable pressure relief valve does need to be added as a shop vac will still deform the drum lid with its suction force if you don't use one.
