The Norton Introduction to Literature

The Norton Introduction to Literature has many great stories to keep you entertained. For a school book this is a great choice! Especially in college with the multiple difficult classes talking place in one semester, reading this book in class helps alot. The class that had us read The Norton Introduction to Literature made the class feel sort of like a small vacation. Reading stories from it was a small break with nice fresh air from the stressful courses. But that might be because I love reading and just don't get much time for it anymore so I really appreciated what the book had to present. Having The Norton Introduction to Literature as course requirement made it easier to find time to read.On a side note :) if you can, please buy used book! I know they might have some marks and scratches here and there but it's totally worth it! Think of the history that comes with it and perhaps you'll find nice notes inside. It's worth a try, totally worth it and it'll make you feel like you're taking part in saving the environment =D Which You Are!!!

THE BOOK ARRIVED BEFORE MY SECOND CLASS; FROM FIRST CLASS I WAS ADVISED TO BRING THIS BOOK BECAUSE I HAD THE WRONG EDDITION FOR THE EN CLASS. WHAT HAPPENED? I ORERED CORRECT BOOK, FOR SOME REASON THEY CANCELLED AND I WAS UPSET DECIDED NOT BOTHER WITH AND I THOUGHT I COULD GET BY WITH MY ONE CENT , THE NORTON INT LIT [ PORT ED] BUT MY PROF. SAID THAT HAS SHORTER STORIS AND DOSE NOT HAVE EVERYTHING WE NEED TO STUDY. SO THERE, THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SENDING ME THE BOOK IN VERY GOOD TIMING.

Usually I hate having to read school books. I bought this for my Columbia College English Comp II class and this book contains a lot of stories and poems to catch a readers attention. The book somehow makes learning how to write persuasive or any other type of essay more interesting than it would seem to a person that dislikes writing all together. I actually wrote less because of the helpful notes in this book.

The book came in great condition- as advertised. The only problem is it is not identical to the hard back and does not have all of the same lessons/literature works. Also the page numbers are different than the hard back.

I thought this was going to be just another textbook, but it's filled with amazing stories & poems. This is one that I will not sell back, but keep forever for the amazing literature. So happy with this one. I love to read & plan on reading every story, poem & play in this book.

This was a textbook for a Survey of Literature class. It has a nice assortment of works in it, poetry, fiction, and so forth. It's your typical Norton Anthology.

This was a great book for a general literature class. Good collection of stories, short stories, and poems. Has a little bit of information along with a picture of the authors featured in the book.
