CAN'T BELIEVE HOW WELL AND EASILY IT WORKED!!
The drain king cleared what liquid drain cleaners and snakes couldn't touch and did it effortlessly. My home has cast iron drains. The tub drain had been getting slower and slower. In the past I had been able to use a plastic barbed snake to pull hair out and get it draining better. But each time the improvement was less and less. I tried running a snake into the trap from an access panel in a closet behind the tub and could not get the snake past past the trap. Out of desperation I tried the Drain King thinking if this did not get it a plumber was next. I connected a garden hose to the sink in the bathroom with an adapter followed the instructions and within a few minutes I had a free flowing drain! My wife's comment was she couldn't remember the last time the drain worked so well. I was so impressed that I used it in our laundry room on another cast iron drain for the washing machine that I also could not get a snake past. Same result. The drain flows great. I would have gladly paid two or three times the price. Additionally it is quick and easy to use. My only regret is I did not try it sooner. I would give this 10 stars if I could. Easily saved me a couple of hundred dollars and the next time my drains get slow I know exactly what to do. Great product and so simple.

This is your BEST bet to remove a clog.
So, you have a clog? The first thing you did was run to Lowes/Home Depot and bought Liquid Plumber, but after following the "wait up to 15 minutes before flushing pipes" and cover the opening so it can do its work undercover...it turns out that it's a miserable failure. So you go to Plan B, which is none-other then use a STRONGER chemical. In my case I picked up Liquid Lightening Drain Opener with the power of sulphur. After letting it sit for 20 minutes, it did nothing but smell up the whole house. Ok, on to Plan C, yet another chemical, but this time, I'll go organic since the sulphur smell turned me completely off. I used ZEP Drain Care. It sat there through the night and not only through the night, but sometimes through the day with added applications. NOTHING. Needless to say, Plan D didn't work either which was the use of a Plumbers Snake. I even used Drain Blaster which uses compressed air, but that didn't completely solve the problem. It helped somewhat or made it worse depending on the situation. Now, I'll cut to the chase, my shower has been draining slowly for months. When it got real bad, I would use the Drain Blaster and it would help, but it just moved the clog but did NOT REMOVE the clog. So this past week, I ordered Drain King #186. I knew it would get here after memorial day, but it wasn't a real emergency, since I was already use to it draining slowly. After calling in guests for Memorial Day, my wife informed me that there was a new problem...the sink was now draining so slow and it stunk horribly. I did what I knew I had to do, I grabbed the Drain Blaster, and in this case it didn't speed up the drainage, it actually brought it to a halt. A very embarrassing situation for my guests, but after getting through the day, I was hoping that Drain King would arrive and that it would actually work. Today, I finally got Drain King in the mail, I immediately went to work. The rubber on the product is very very strong, but flexible. I was able to maneuver it into the bathroom drain. My wife turned on the outside hose that it was connected to. It made a loud vibration. I ran it for about 3 minutes. No water splashed up at all. When I finished, I tested the drain, and IT WORKED PERFECTLY! Then I went to the sink. I shoved it into the main line going into the wall, but this time I didn't hear a vibration and that got me worried. I wasn't able to put Drain King more than 5 inches into the pipe and it was pretty horizontal which worried me that it would splash water back in my face. We put it on for less than a minute because I didn't hear a vibration and I was worried that it wasn't in correctly and the rubber would burst, so I took it out. I put the sink back together and cringed as I ran the water down the sink. I expected it to fill up and lay stagnant. HOWEVER, IT WENT DOWN SO FAST! It was better than it ever was. Truly amazing! I know this review is rather long, but I want you to realize that I tried everything. This Drain King IS WORTH EVERY CENT. If the thing just worked on the shower and busted after that, it was well worth it. But in my case, it cleared the shower and the sink perfectly. I Praise the Lord that I found this product. I believe you will find it is your BEST chance to clear any clog you have. P.S. There was a clone of this product in Lowes by Cobra Products. I never tried it, but I believe the thing that makes Drain King unique is the metal tip at the end which is supposed to be the key to its clog removal. This product received a 97 out of 100 on a Consumer Reports test of drain care products in 2006. The only such product to get such a high score. Just type into Google "Drain King Consumer Reports filetype:pdf" to bring up the report for yourself. Thanks for reading. I hope this makes up your mind to get this wonderful product.

Life-Changing Drain Tool — Simple, Fast, and Effective!
I’ve struggled for over a decade keeping a nearly 75-foot kitchen drain pipe clear. Even though I’m careful about what goes down the drain, kids aren’t always as cautious, and every year or so the pipe would clog or start running slowly. With much of the pipe running under concrete and a few bends midline, cleanouts were always a huge challenge. Plumbers came and went with limited success (and a big hit to my wallet), and using my 100’ snake was always an exhausting, hours-long ordeal. Then I found the Drain King 340 All-In-One Easy to Use Drain Unclogging Kit, 1.5–3 Inch online. OMG — it’s a game-changer! Simply attach the right-sized fitting, hook it to a garden hose, and the clog is cleared in seconds. Honestly, it might be the most useful thing I’ve ever bought on Amazon. Key Notes & Tips: Prevention > reaction: Use this kit regularly instead of waiting for a full-blown clog. Preventive maintenance works wonders. Vents matter: If there’s a plumbing vent between your cleanout access and the clog, it won’t work — not a flaw, just physics. Best used proactively: While it can blast open fully clogged drains, it’s far more effective when used at the first sign of slowdown or every 6–9 months as preventive care. Shutoff valve helps: If you need to run a separate garden hose to reach the cleanout, a valve makes setup much simpler. Use the right size: Never inflate the bladder outside a pipe — it will split. Match your pipe size to the kit attachment. I use the 1.5–3” attachment even on my 2” pipe; it’s safer than risking a smaller size splitting. Know its limits: It clears clogs with back pressure. Tree roots or lodged objects may still require an auger. Overall, this kit saved me hours of frustration, countless trips by plumbers, and it makes regular drain maintenance almost effortless. Highly recommend for anyone tired of slow or clogged drains!

Drain King can be useful
I had a major blockage in a 2 inch ABS (black plastic) drain pipe under the basement floor. This drain pipe carries all the kitchen sink and dishwasher crud. The Drain King did a nice job agitating the stuff near the clean out opening in the basement, but unfortunately it wouldn't pass through the elbow under the floor. I tried twisting, back and forth motions with the water pressure relieved but it just wouldn't move past that elbow. After operating the Drain King for a few minutes and flushing the pipe with water from the garden hose, some crud came back out of the clean out opening which showed the Drain King was loosening the fatty and hard deposits in the pipe. This device probably does a nice job of pushing hair balls down a drain and cleaning fat from places it can reach, but it couldn't reach all of the fatty blockage which extended far past the clean out opening. I took a chance and ordered a $120 Clog Hog for my Husky 2600 psi power washer. It worked great in my drain pipe. It easily passed through the elbow and on down 30 feet or so from one side of my basement to the other, loosening everything along the way. Unfortunately it backed up most of the crud out my clean out rather than pushing it down the pipe to the street! I used a shallow pail to fill five 5-gallon buckets with fatty liquid and hard (both light brown and black chalky) deposits. I flushed the fatty liquid down the basement toilet, which has a 3 inch drain pipe, using a strainer to catch the solid stuff for disposal in the garbage. It smelled nasty but the job wasn't as bad as it sounds (thank goodness my bathroom air is vented outside!). The kitchen sink and dishwasher now drains very fast. I also installed an Oatey vent relief valve under the kitchen sink in the drain line between the trap and the elbow that leads the pipe down the wall to the basement. No more gurgling sounds from air being drawn through the water filled trap by the sucking action of the water rushing down the drain pipe! Buy a Drain King for hair balls and blockages you can reach without a bend or trap in the pipe. Buy a Clog Hog and rent, buy, or borrow a power washer for cleaning out a long length of fat filled drain pipe -- careful, though, you must order the particular Hog model associated with your power washer. Note that if your pipe is under a slab rather than under a basement floor you can run the Clog Hog "uphill" from your outside clean out back towards your blockage. The crud then passes with plenty of water back towards the street and you can watch it all without any need for buckets and toilet flushing! Both products are well made and should stand up to multiple cleanings. I know I sound like an employee of Clog Hog, but despite my misgivings about the endorsements that mostly appear on websites supported by them, I took a chance and am so grateful I did. Be sure to wear a mask to avoid breathing in the fine particles of the drain contents and wrap a piece of duct tape around the Clog Hog hose a few feet from the nozzle so you won't accidentally pull it out of the pipe opening and risk spraying yourself with the fine high pressure water spray than can penetrate skin! Only operate it in the pipe!!!

Cleared out the Air in my inground pool skimmer line!
I have an inground pool that at first thought that the pump went bad. Changed the valve to the spa and it worked so that wasn't it. Second I figured that the line from the skimmer was clogged and came across the Drain King on a youtube video with my problem. Got the King, dropped it in the line and let it run for a minute but noticed nothing came out, just some air....Ok, pulled the king out and tried the filter...seemingly worked but again no flow from the line. HMMMMM tried the Drain King again and this time let it run for a couple of minutes. Nothing came out BUT I noticed huge gulps of air popping through through the surface until only a flow appeared. Again pulled out the King and tried the filter...SUCCESS!! It appears I had a (several?) huge air pockets in the line and the King pushed them out. Now the pump is sucking better than....well you get my drift lol. Using this product saved me from calling in the pool guys and having them rig something up to clear the line, charging me a good lump sum in the process. If it cleared my pool up, then it should work wonders for your clogged line and I couldn't recommend a better product to deliver as advertised for the price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

WOW! Best Purchase in 2021.
I've owned my 1960s Townhome for 10 years now. The kitchen drain has always been problematic. It got better when I got rid of the garbage disposal but has always drained slowly and would occasionally clog and not drain at all. I've used all manner of chemicals (Drano, Liquid Plummer, etc, etc) on it. Sometimes the Thrift Drain Opener chemical would improve the flow as it has done in many other drains in my home. In this most recent episode of fully clogged drain I did everything I could --- power snaked it, plunged it, Thrift drain cleaner several times, tried suction it out with my powerful shop vac. NOTHING WORKED. We had standing water that would take days to drain and leave a disgusting mess in the sink. We are a household of 7. I watched endless videos online about clearing drains and almost decide to buy a pressure washer and water jet kit to clear this clogged drain. Water jetting would have definitely worked, but it would have been messy. Minimum cost to DIY is about $200 for equipment. Getting a professional plumber to water jet would be $500 to $1000. And then I came across this Drain King product on AMAZON. Watched some Youtube vids and decided it was worth a shot. No need to buy it with the sink adaptor thing. You can buy it by itself. Just make sure you choose a size appropriate for the pipe you're inserting it into. I removed J trap and all other pipes so that I could put it in the pipe that goes into the wall. The directions say insert 4 feet. This is unnecessary. I could only insert mine about 10 inches before I hit an elbow. Connect to regular garden hose, put it in the pipe, have your helper turn on the water. It expands immediately and seals the pipe. No water back flows. I ran it with water going full blast. It made some noises but not too much that I could hear. Ran it for 5 minutes --- that's a lot of water. Could hear it running and clearing the pipe. I ran up and downstairs to make sure it wasn't coming out another drain or leaking out the wall or something else catastrophic. But all was fine. After 5 minutes I shut it off checked everything again and turned it on for another 5 minutes. Took the hose back outside and reassembled all kitchen sink components. My kitchen drain ran faster than ever before. Faucet open at full blast could not create standing water in the sink. This drain has never worked so well. To be honest I was completely shocked at how easy this was to do. I was basically crying tears of joy. This effing kitchen drain has vexed me for years and years. Who knew a $12 solution existed? It was more work reassembling all the components than it was to clear the drain. No chemicals, very little effort, and so easy that my elderly mother could do it if I showed her how. This is an amazing product. I believe it works by overwhelming a blockage with water and air pressure. A lot of pressure is generated by a garden hose at full blast. Whatever was in my pipes is gone now. And if the clog comes back I will break Drain King out again confident it will amaze me. Solid 110% buy recommendation. Just make sure you can insert it fully into the pipe.

Better than chemicals
Will clear pipes but it is a pressure the water in to force the clog out type. It will clear p-traps, but not deeper clogs. Can push friction fit, o ring sealed pipes apart.

Durable and inflates/deflates with ease
This one so far has lasted longer than the one I bought from one of those big box stores that begins with an L and ends in an s! This one just feels so much more durable and heavy duty. It was easy to maneuver into our pools PVC pipe and fit perfectly. It was easy to install on the hose and there weren’t any leaks present when I connected it to the bib. As for flexibility, it worked very well as I had to maneuver it at the ninety degree angle turns to get it to expand. Its flexibility is one of the best things about it! It worked perfectly for blowing out my pool pump lines. It expands and deflates with ease. When done all you have to do is turn the water off and let it deflate. The other one I had wouldn’t deflate unless I unscrewed the hose to let air escape. This one would deflate almost immediately right after I turned off the water. Highly recommend for those that need to clear out some clogged lines and want to do it yourself! Save your time and money by choosing this one over the brand name one from that other big box store!
