Great tasting energy bars without artificial sweetners
Many or even most "health food" products eliminate added sugar and use either stevia or artificial sweeteners like sucralose. I dislike the taste of stevia, and artificial sweeteners create some health problems for me, so it's a challenge to find products without these sugar substitutes. Enter Skratch Labs. They make great tasting unsweetened hydration drink mixes with electrolytes and a bit of real fruit. I use these for exercise or when I am dehydrated or over tired. When I needed an energy bar for travel or work days when I can't break for lunch, I tried the peanut butter & chocolate Skratch Labs bar. The quality ingredients are perfect for me with peanut butter, tapioca syrup, chocolate, peanuts, oats, brown rice, etc. This not a low calorie bar at 270 calories and it has a high fat content. The carbohydrate content is 30 grams, but only 8 grams are sugar, which is lower than many bars. Best of all, they taste terrific. I plan to also try their cinnamon + oatmeal bar that has much less fat. I imagine their bars are designed for athletes and people who work hard outdoors. They work for me too as a lunch substitute when I am working on my feet (teaching) all day. They are also great on those travel trips that start at 5 am and get to the destination 24 hours later via long plane flights & layovers - extra energy in a tiny package. Typically I only eat a bar once a week, so it is affordable and fine for my overall nutrition. They might not work for those looking for something low calorie or economical for daily use, but I plan to keep some on hand all the time.

Work great. Some flavors are better than others
Overall I have enjoyed skratch bars. I'm training for a 50 mile ultra and have wanted carbs/food that feel more like I'm consuming food than GU or gels. I have tried honey stingers as well and they are good but still felt a little snacky to me. Skratch bars have been the answer for me. I like the over all quantity of calories per bar plus the carb to protein ratio. Scratch bars have a little protein while many products seem to emphasize carbs only. The texture of all the bars are great. They have a traditional granola bar texture and they aren't dry. At least for me, these don't dry my mouth as I nibble on them every few minutes but let's talk about flavors and function. Chocolate and Peanut Butter: the taste is good however the chocolate has a mild fake chocolate flavor. The real downside to these is they melt and then 10 miles in and you need to get some calories and with it you can get a sticky mess. Which can throw off your running rhythm and create sticky fingers adding to the stress of your run. So these are out for me on function. Raspberry + Lemon: this one has a very artificial flavor to me and felt a little waxy in my mouth. I only ate one from the variety pack and ended up throwing the other two away. My kids wouldn't eat them as snacks. Strawberry Peanut Butter: this is my second favorite. The flavor is good, it doesn't taste artificial and it never made a sticky mess for me. I do think of conditions were really hot 85+ degrees maybe the peanut butter would start to creat a sticky mess. But that never happened to me. Cherry & Pistachio: these are the best from me perspective. They have a very mild cherry and pistachio flavor, they taste good and they aren't sticky. You can nibble on them and then put them back in your vest or belt without making a mess After trying the variety pack, I now order just the cherry & pistachio box. The variety pack did its job in introducing me to scratch bars and flavors and helped me discover what worked for me.

Too yummy!
These are very yummy - almost too much! I want to eat more than one, but they pack a lot of calories. Definitely will buy again. These make a satisfying substitute for a small meal.

Great product, bad batch. Not the tasty I'm familiar with
I'm a loyal fan of Skratch. This is my 3d purchase of their products bulk from Amazon. Have been using this as athletic sports fuel from my small local outdoor retailer and have received samples at events. I received a sample of this bar at an event. I have not had a bad Sckratch product from the local retailer. What I loved about this bar, was the pungent raspberry and candied lemon flavor, and the even texture in the bar. Unlike the sample of the Crispy chocolate marsh mallow bar which was light aury and had large various chunks, this bar had a more even texture and is more dense. Unfortunately the box I got on amazon, doesn't resemble the sample I got. There are bits of various ingredients poking out as you chew it sadly. It mostly tastes of nuts like any other bar sadly. It's not the great raspberry and lemon flavor explosion I crave. The chunks and nuttiness and lack of pungent fruit flavor make it indistinguishable from any other brand bar sadly. Sadly the shelf life is only six months. So maybe this batch is growing stale. I like the product but the things I loved about it aren't present in this box of them. Perhaps there is inconsistencies in the manufacturing/quality.

Taste good and they are light enough for hard exercise after eating
Love these bars and the energy chews as well. Eat a bar before pedaling for 50 to 60 miles; they're perfect for a light meal and an energy boost before setting off.

Skratch Bars are Excellent
The bars taste great, solve/prevent the hunger factor during rides, and seem to be gentle on my stomach (occasionally an issue for me with other nutrition). Skratch bars are my new go-to.

excellent energy bar and tastes good.
These energy bars a very tasty and have texture in the bar that make it seem more natural as opposed to other bars that taste like blended goo. In addition, these bars do not taste too sweet as some bars just taste like candy bars.

Very tasty and light, easy to eat. Bought the raspberry and lemon which is disgusting and soapy. This flavour is really nice and goes down well
