Attractive, rugged, easy to install and use.
After having several high-priced, big name weather stations destroyed by ant infestations, I decided to buy separate temperature and raingauge systems. Only the raingauge would remain at the location the previous systems had occupied, and it needed to be sealed against ants getting into the electronics. The ECOWITT WH5360B appeared to meet that requirement so I ordered one. I was delighted when I unpacked it. The unit was indeed sealed and except for the mechanical tipping bucket mechanism that had to be open to the rainfall, everything was totally enclosed in a plastic housing with no entrances for small pests. The tipper sent its tips to the electronics with a magnet, so there were no wires to be chewed and no holes for wires were needed. The assembly instructions, both the text and the drawings, were clear and easy to follow. All the necessary parts were provided except for the batteries (1 AA lithium for the sensor and 3 AA alkaline or lithium for the console). The console had no trouble locking onto the sensor's signal and it has never lost connectivity since I installed the sensor about 50 feet away from the house. The calibration feature deserves comment. Several reviewers complained about its accuracy and that had concerned me. This unit is exceptional in that it has an internal electronic calibration setting that can be adjusted any of three ways. There is a procedure presented in the manual using rainfall collected from the gauge after a storm, or you can pour known amounts of water SLOWLY into the gauge, or you can compare the reading with a nearby gauge of known calibration. Any of them will work. Unless your unit is actually malfunctioning, you should have accurate readings if you take the time to calibrate it. Both the sensor and the console look nice. The display is an attractive addition to the wall in our Florida room and we have been delighted with its performance.

Great Rain Gauge!
Very easy to install and program the remote display settings. I've been using this for 1 1/2 years now and still working great! It appears that it is very accurate, although I haven't run any calibration tests. I'm finally done using my binoculars to check my old tube type gauge, and having to go out and empty it after every rain! The remote provides more than enough rainfall readings to keep an engineer happy. It also provides INDOOR temp and humidity readings which I think is unnecessary. Now if they'd add OUTSIDE temp and humidity that would be nice!

Mostly Good, but major issues!!
Worked off and on for 2.5 years, the biggest problem with it was birds pooping in it and spiders getting inside and building nests. I put a tiny bit of chlorine tablet inside it, that took care of the spiders and a red flag waving over it, that stopped most of the birds from using it as a landing pad and toilet. Now, the swivel shaft inside is rusted (see picture) and prevents the dipper from moving. If they would spend an extra dollar and use a stainless steel shaft, I would give it a 5 star. I found it to be fairly accurate by comparing it to the swimming pool level.

Great product. I love it
It has been working great for almost two years now, here in Southern California. The distance between the monitor and the outdoor rain collector is over 50 feet and there is no problem with the signal. I only had to replace the battery in the outdoor unit once and that was after more than a year. I haven’t had to replace the battery in the indoor unit yet, and it’s almost two years. I’ve never had to adjust or tweak anything to keep it working and that’s very good for something that is constantly exposed to the weather. The battery life on both units is very impressive. It provides lots of statistics and keeps a good history. Right now it is telling me we’ve had 1.31 inches in the current storm and 0.69 inches in the last hour.

Great Product!
I've been using the WH40 for about two months now. It's been a great unit. Seems to be built well. Wasn't hard to set up. Seem to be very accurate when comparing averages locally in my area. UPDATE 3-1-22!! Unit stopped working about 4 months ago. This was a replacement for a unit that had similar issues. The problem I had with both of my units had to do with the Reed Switch that works with the magnet that is connected to the cup that fills with water. When the water fills, it pushes down the cup and the magnet moves by the reed switch and that tells the unit it was full. Being these switches are delicate, they tend to go bad after a while. I ended up swapping out the bad switch with basic electronics soldering and it appears to be working again. Not sure if this is an on going problem with these units, but figured I'd share my experience. Still 5 stars based on price and great customer service experience.

Muestra con precisión los datos de pluviométricos. Lástima que la app no se pueda asociar con Alexa para poder crear rutinas y avisos cuando llueve.

works perfectly and cheaper than most

At first it seems like a good rain gauge. But in heavy showers it counts too little. The drops then bounce out because of the low rim and flat funnel. At Ecowitt you can buy an add-on edge that improves it somewhat. So They know the problem! Why is the design not adjusted or the border supplied??? But with the add-on edge, it still counts too little in heavy showers! Either the Edge is still too low or the clapper is too slow! So actually a bad design that can be adjusted with a little will from Ecowitt!
